The taxation system in UK is tough. They will milk you dry through taxation. But think of it... they is no natural resource in the country. So they rely heavily on taxes for their economy.

It's all risk... But with two heads the hustle for cos becomes better than one.

Cos means certificate of sponsorship that's the only way u could stay back in the country. Another way is by marriage to whiteman or woman

USA has better wages than Canada in all fields so it’s a good decision. Canada is becoming strict with emigration so you might wanna start already . And the way you mentioned the years ehn!

It might take longer than that in reality oh . But stay positive . Just be patient with the process . Canada is still good and you can live very comfortably with savings and do a lot back home as well . Pharmacist here also do well but not better than USA overall

As a Canadian passport holder, you can only visit the US for 6 months max. You can’t work.

However, if you profession is among the professions qualified for TN visa, you can apply. If your application is approved , you can work temporarily in the US. TN visa a temporary non immigrant visa. It doesn’t make you become an immigrant.

If you really want to work in the US as an immigrant as a Canadian passport holder, you will apply like any other person in the world with your application given zero priority.

I never said you will automatically immigrate to USA having a Canadian passport . I only said you could get hired and that’s obviously in the in demand and follow the processes to get admitted into the USA for work

God forbid that you believe her. I'm based in the UK, been to USA multiple times, and honestly there's no difference. The issue with her is that UK is a conservative society, and even though 5% of the population is a millionaire, no one throws money around. No one throws thousands of pounds in Dorime. They just buy houses, drive nice cars, and go on vacation. All those shenanigans don't exist here.

No there are differences by a 1000 and 1 miles. I live in the US, I have friends that live in the UK. We literally have the same skillset (tech), I make times 4 of whatever they are making. They are all making plans to move to the US. So I know, the UK is just very average. God help you if you are not in healthcare, tech, and engineering. You’ll probably just gonna be living to survive.

Why do you need to go to Canada first, research schools in the US where you can apply for masters with fully funded scholarship. There are so many schools that will give you a full ride if you can write a good SOP, resume, research interest, probably a good GRE score, and your academic transcript. You wouldn’t need to spend a dime while in school, Infact the school will be paying you biweekly/monthly stipend as a graduate research assistant or a graduate teaching assistant. That’s enough to usher you into a divine prosperity, America is a land of opportunity and abundance. Start doing your research!

My belief as a result of my experience over one year living in Japan is that: as a Black man, you enjoy your money better in a Black dominated environment (tropical as well), that's safe, where the majority look like you. I can understand your rich friend's perspective of driving a G-Wagon in Nigeria, but Ghana and South Africa are better off than the UK.

The G-Wagon sef, aside Lagos and Abuja, I really can't see where it becomes that safe and enjoyable to drive it elsewhere in Nigeria.

I know my Pharmacist colleagues about 8 of them now I attended school with, have their Canadian express entry to Toronto as a Pharmacist approved and they're already in Toronto as I speak, you'll spend millions to do it but it's literally assured, with American Masters scholarship, you'd still spend literally 1million or more on one document or another and yet with no guaranty. So I'm just placing my bet more on Canada based on what I've observed but nevertheless I'll strive to see money I can do both of them one must surely click.

Your analysis is on point. Means of survival or thriving isn't really an issue or mine, just somewhere very safe. If there's one thing I appreciate living here is the absolute safety. Mid-tier/Developed Asian cities tend to be very safe or at least less violent.

Ultimately, for every migrant regardless of the skin colour, the US is the best.

Apparently, the study route to the UK is a bad deal. Almost one hundred million to a country with fewer economic opportunities on a one year visa is a very bad deal. I wonder who and what pushed such people to engage in such.

The USA is better than the UK when it comes to opportunities and business development. There are more blacks in the USA than in the UK. You can't beat the tech and innovation that is in massive quantities in America. I want to visit the USA and India in the near future, but Nigeria is the best place for me to be. With all the problems in Nigeria, our land is too rich in resources and potential to be ignored. All the 36 states have so much potential and resources that must be explored to make wealth. Nigerians can use the internet to get information that can be experimented with and deployed in Nigeria. Cheers.
