Pls, is there any website someone can apply for a part time job in germany

Hannania:
No need to send for correction. They'll see it in real-time.

Yes, they'll calculate and inform you of the exact amount to deposit into your block account. For now, just chill and wait. The German system is one of the most meticulous systems in the world. If you meet the requirements, they'll grant you the visa.

Xing, Stepstone, linkedin, indeed.de

You'll have very little to no success because part-time jobs are mostly given to those already in that country because there's hug competition for them. Nevertheless, it's still possible

Welldone to Hannania and other contributors to this beautiful thread.
Thanks for the encouragement.

I joined the waiting list today 22/06/2025.

I am working to secure other documents that are not immediately completely available.

Wishing us success!

1. Yes. The main advantage of indicating the application of your spouse is to give you guys an extra point (in case either of you happens to use the point system).

2. No. The block account is legally bound to one person. So each of you must submit two different proofs of funds. Either SL/BA or a part-time contract with €1091 net(After tax)

3. You can use one sponsorship letter if the sponsor is eligible to cater for two. Some people can sponsor up to 3 persons at a time. Just make sure the sponsorship letter is marked "Nachgewiesen" on the back. Meaning the creditworthiness has been proven. Else, total rejection. You won't even pass for Preliminary review.

4. You can upload it during preliminary review, or take it with you on the interview date.

Thanks alot for this
one more question: This Block Account can bank help out with it?

Hello @Hannania, I have been following this thread but seem lost.

I have a BSc in Health line, but four years ago, I transitioned to TECH (currently a software engineer and still working as one), can I still apply to this Opportunity card? And if yes, what do I need to do because I checked on Anabin, my university was listed but course wasn't, however I want to relocate on the basis of my Tech field and seek employment in Germany via this line.

Also as regards the proof of fund, I don't have that amount in my account however I have a monthly salary of over 1k usd/month. Can this serve?

I will appreciate your response

The opportunity card is open to career changers. The most important thing is that your course must be recognised. If it is indeed not on Anabin, head on to do recognition for just €208, then send in an application.

Your course must not tally with your field. They'll just ask you for a CV, motivational letter and make sure you input your new field accurately on that videx form when applying.

Lastly, your salary means nothing when it comes to German applications. You only have 3 options with the opportunity card.

1. You exclusively block €13092 with a German bank(Getting €1091 monthly when you enter Germany)

2. A worker with residence permit issues you sponsorship letter (Declaration of Commitment or “Verpflichtungserklärung" )

3. You get a part-time job with a minimum of €1091(net, meaning after tax). This has to be with a German employer.

Germany is not like the USA, UK or Canada. You can't beat around these three options for the opportunity card with the usual "POF" runs people do for other countries

Good day Hannania and all the contributors. I’ve been a silent follower of this thread and I’ve read from part one to the latest but I have a few questions.
No 1: How do I join the waiting list while looking for a block account or declaration of commitment since my docs isn’t complete yet. This is just to best time instead of waiting.

No 2: How do I know if I’m applying as a skilled worker or point based cos the portal seems same.

Your responses would be greatly appreciated
Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 7:07pm On Jun 24, 2025

Class definition
A2
Degree type for study/training courses with a typical standard duration of less than three years

A3
Degree type for study/training courses with a typical standard duration of less than four years

A4
Degree type for degree programs with a typical standard duration of four years

A5
Degree type for study programs with a typical standard duration of more than four years

PGS
Postgraduate study programs

D1
promotion

D2
Habilitation

HC
Honorary degree or title

NZ
Not assigned because the relevant information is missing or because the degree type does not fit into a corresponding classification.

The above is how Germany categorizes degrees they recognise. Most of our 5 year courses are under A3 because of the course load difference. E.g. most 100l credits are baseless on the German scale.

1. Just apply and use your international passport for fields which you have no documents. Then submit. It will automatically place you on that waiting list as seen on that home page.

2. You're a skilled worker if you have a degree recognition on Anabin, or you carry out recognition via ZAB(degree) or DAB(vocational training).
Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by teflondon1124(m): 6:27am On Jun 25, 2025
Thank you, Well appreciated.

Hannania:
You won't get a residence permit until you get a job. So just get accommodation and do your Anmeldung. That's the only registration you need with the authorities.

Within two weeks after Anmeldung, you'll get your tax id which will be sent to your address. Use the meldebestätigung issued to you after the registration to open a bank account.

If you're below 30, discard your private insurance and register with AOK public insurance with the meldebestätigung . You'll get your social security number and heath insurance number when you get insurance.

Get a prepaid SIM card after you've registered your address. Or an unlimited monthly one. The choice is yours.

With these:
Tax ID
Social security no.
Health insurance number
Bank account

You're ready to start part-time jobs before you get a full time job.

Goodmorning guysss

I have someone who wants to help me with a block account or sponsorship letter. He has dual citizenship, German and Canadian citizenship. He had an issue with his white woman years back, which resulted in him spending one year in prison. So when he came out, he moved to Canada and spent some years, and he got his citizenship there. So he has a court case with his ex in Germany over his properties in Germany until now. So can he help with a block account or sponsorship letter? Would it fly? If I use him as my sponsor.

If he's not currently living and working in Germany, he can't issue the Verpflichtungserklärung (declaration of sponsorship) to you.

Only thing that can work in this case is if he can open a blocked account for you and put the 13k euros inside.

That's as far as I know, I stand to be corrected.

Hello Hannania. I went for my appointment on the 28th of May as I mentioned earlier but have not gotten a reply from the embassy. The only way I've been able to track is through the DHL package and it has not moved. It's been almost 4 weeks. Do you by any chance know what's happening and why it's taking so much time? I also met someone at the embassy on the same day and she also hasn't gotten a response.

Hannania:
Congratulations on your visa.🎉👏 Starts learning German asap to B2 level to land a job.

For legalization, you can work up to any lawyer that has been certified to be a notary public(Meaning he/she has a notorized stamp). They'll autenticate your credentials. Please avoid third parties. Make sure you meet the lawyer yourself.

Every application is unique and considered separately. A guy who did before me waited almost 2 months before seeing approval. Mine took Less than 2 weeks. I know of 6 weeks, 3 weeks and so on. Just chill, it will be eventually decided.
