Image123:Bunch of rubbish you wrote up there. As if other countries are not populated. This kind of mindsets from a country citizens ( a 5th world country for that matter) is the reason why that country will always remain stagnant. |

Nonsense. World bank will always talk rubbish about Naija because they fear us and our potential but they will always talk nice things about countries like South Africa that have weak, useless leaders who follow their rules . They will always opress Naija in their rankings because we are giant of Africa and we are the only hope for Africa to rise because all these Africans are failures unlike Nigerians who are much smarter and hardworking. |

Image123:Kindly stop parroting these false claims that population size equates to poverty or underdevelopment. Small countries = smaller work force = slower development but that hasn’t stopped them. Isn’t it ironic that Dubai with an indigenous population of 3.5m plays host to over 18million visitors annually? Ask yourself how does their infrastructure absorb the physical, environmental and financial burdens? Simple-planning! Nigeria’s stunted growth is our own doing. China made good use of its labor force that they’re suffocating the world with production. I tell you this, cut Nigeria’s population by 2/3 and our corrupt leaders would have more to steal than develop the country. CUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING AND SEE TRUE DEVELOPMENT! Lastly, some infrastructure are population dependent, schools, hospitals for example, but electricity, water, road, whether 1 billion citizens or 1 Million it shouldn’t matter. I bet you if we were neighbors with Russia they’ll comfortably supply us electricity and not break a sweat. A large population isn’t the problem. |

VeeVeeMyLuv: you get the point, the leaders still the reason and not our population |

Sheuns:No sir, the problem of reliable and affordable electricity supply is still ongoing in India, particularly in rural areas. Also, they don't have the poor foundation and disunity that we have in terms of tribe, religion and deliberate neglect. Nigeria is getting better BTW. |
| Re: ELECTRICITY: Nigeria Records Largest Number Without Access — World Bank by Image123(m): 9:22am On Jun 26, 2025 |
Baxilexi:i did not say that a large population is the problem. i said that a large population easily gives us the numbers both positively and negatively. |
| Re: ELECTRICITY: Nigeria Records Largest Number Without Access — World Bank by Image123(m): 9:23am On Jun 26, 2025 |
specialmati:That one too is there, but it is being solved. Our numbers will always put us up there. |

ogododo:If you don’t have 2 or 3 power banks in this country, you’re not ready, that’s just the truth. Whether you use an Android or an iPhone, that’s the reality of living in Nigeria. |

Tochi3:Above 30 million people are still without electricity in India despite the great strides made. They don't all have our problem. Like i said, our problems are foundational. All those countries we love to mention were united from the start, either by same majority tribe or religion. How do you compete with a people that were deliberately left with the least to lead us instead of the best? |
| Re: ELECTRICITY: Nigeria Records Largest Number Without Access — World Bank by Baxilexi(m): 9:30am On Jun 26, 2025 |
Image123:Noted. Nigeria has cheap labor, which many European countries wish they had. Our illiterate leaders are too stupid to exploit this rare commodity. Imagine, tackling security and urging a car manufacturer to open a plant in Nigeria with an hourly pay of $2, in 10 hours that $20, in 20 days $400 - that’s over 600,000 NGN and the government takes its tax. Note this is for unskilled labor. |

Image123:In my opinion, population is not the issue. Rather, population should give us strength. The only issue with population is that the people who have so many children will experience a lower standard of live. China is about 6 times as populous as your country. Ditto for India. USA is about 1.5 times as populous as Nigeria. Indonesia is about 1,2 time as populous, while Pakistan is about 1.08 as populous as your country. These countries did not become indigent as sub-human like Nigeria. Instead, they are superpowers. The problem with your country is corruption amongst the leaders and complacency amongst the citizenry. If you yourself takes over power and decide to fix only electricity and mean it, you will in 2 years or less. It is no rocket science. Even Nigeria decides to invest only on solar for every community or household, the journey to electrifying Nigeria will be completed in less than 1 year. The president left such issues that bother Nigeria and is busy playing politics. State of emergency should have been declared in the power sector, Security, Agriculture. If he doesn't any other thing, trust me, Nigeria will be better than it was at the end of Obasanjo's regime. But no, he is interested in Rivers state. He has to give Wike all the money he needs to secure 2027 for him. And Nigerians just sit and look. Your national budget states that they will construct one street light with 250m, just one street light. And nobody is asking them questions. This is something you and I know you can achieve with 2m, a fully functional automated, solar-powered, plus the profit a contractor will have on top. They quoted to use 200m or so for one borehole project and nobody is asking questions. Please ask VDM how much he spent installing borehole. Ask Peter Obi how much he spent installing boreholes in those communities he did. Please don't blame the families who have excess children, it is their personal problems and has nothing to do with the prosperity of the nation, rather it impacts their personal pockets. Until the governed rises against the leaders in Nigeria, the downward trend will continue. It will get to a point where the average Nigeria will be living like an animal. A point where the politicians can't even control anymore. |

Firebox123:@Firebox123 and @Letmecum Please you guys should stop attacking yourselves and face your leaders. What you are doing is exactly what they want so they keep using you as slaves. Please, connect with foreigners and see how they live. If possible, make efforts to visit abroad, Nigerians are living like sub-humans courtesy of their politicians. Please I beg you, no matter your political affiliations, tribe or religion, you only have a common enemy, your politicians. Even though they incite you to uphold tribal, religious, and political sentiments, they themselves don't even. Be smart, study them. The guy in APC switches to PDP tomorrow once PDP is in power, and vice versa. See your leaders talk against your own tribe once it is not favouring him. See them go to the other places of worship to campaign, or whenever it suits them. These thing don't matter to them, but they make you hold dearly to it and fight yourselves so they remain in power. They are your enemy, not the other victim. |

Image123:This is the reason I want Nigeria to break up. In about a hundred years from now, the level of insecurity influenced by population explosion and illiteracy will be hellish. While Saudi and other Middle East are practicing reasonable Islam, Africa is still barbaric in the interpretation of the Noble Quran, creating a version of Islam that fosters poverty. |

We don't care about the numbers as long as our man is re elected. It is turn by turn rush to the basement of humanity. We don't elect people by any standards present or intended. |

Tochi3:There was no excuse, i simply stated facts. The problem you have is that i didn't insult or curse Tinubu. i don't have to. The fact remains that we have the numbers. You are free to point out any lie or wrong thing i mentioned, instead of the comparison i already acknowledged. |

Image123:Not just numbers but also % and ratio. You said 30m lack access in India Reports also say 13% lack access for a country of 1.2b people. Here 86m translating to 61% lasck access for a population of 234m people 😮😮😮 |

Image123:The "we have the numbers" is a bad omen here. The leaders ínstead of productively harnessing the unique potentials of the various peoples, they are desperately looking for any way possible for Rwanda 94 kind of event to happen in Nigeria. Unfortunately. We have the numbers yet dstv complained recently of loosing 1.8m consumers, 76% of these are from Nigeria. Because the standard and quality of living of majority of the population have been significantly reduced by the current regime. |

Image123:Yeah we are actually number 3 in terms of highest number of users with electricity in Africa which is poor for our population, but for us to be number 1 for users with no electricity access means it is more than a numbers problem and when you compare users with electricity in terms of percentage we are not even in the top 10. |
