 It is kind of sad...the fact is, most nigerian politicans are not ready to play oppositon politics, but rather the politics that fills their stomach...like this one. But let's be honest, even if she defected to PDP, or any other party, it is not a move grounded in ideology, it is a strategic move to show the ruling party that they have the ability to win elections, and eventually to get an invite. The problem again is, Nigeria is a poor country. We did not experience the stages between fedualism and democratic rule the Europeans have, so as a result, people treat politicans like the peasants treated their fedual lord...expect to be taken care of and protected. And if defecting accomplishes that goal...okay. Like I have quoted and said...like someone said once...there are two kinds of politicans in nigeria...those in the ruling party and those trying to get there. Only rich people ike tinubu and buhari, people with cultic following like Buhari, people who are mavericks like Sowore, can afford to play oppostion politics...and even tinubu at one point hobnobbed with PDP in 2011 for survial sake. 36 Likes |

He is busy looking for coalition to endorse him cos he knows the propaganda of 2023 is gone forever. rinzaugustine:Also, just as a reminder, keeping fuel at 197 naira per liter, and one dollar below N400 naira for decades contributed to our debt being so large that as at August 2022...not 2023, it was eating 90% of government revenue, and we was having difficulty paying forex obligations. Tinubu is part of the problem, but the fact is, if you want to have a strong currency without having an economy that is based on exporting stuff you make for the world, you will end up with the same problem AM sure you want tinubu out. So do i, but if your idea of a new government and good economy is another round of subsides that would be paid for with money we don't have, like everyone including tinubu did since 1960....then your side is not better than tinubu.
