I bought a new female,Caucasian shepherd on May 29 2025when the dog is 10 weeks old according to what they told me. The dog was very friendly even plays with everyone both my family and strangers but now the dog is turning into something else I don’t understand and this is just one month of bringing the dog to my house. I live alone with my family in a fenced compound. Whenever someone is passing in front of my gate, the dog will be barking aggressively as if he wants the gate to open so he will attack the passaby. Whenever I take her out for a walk, she used to play with my neighbors But immediately she enters my compound she become aggressive to them. I am a little bit worried what the dog may turn into in the future because I feel His aggressionstarted too early. Is there anything I can do now to control his aggression towards strangers Visiting my House? Or is this nothing to worry about? I mean, is this normal at this stage?

For that puppy to have changed suddenly then there's something wrong.

Something is making it anxious thus responding in such a manner, wish Nigeria veterinary care was very extensive.

Anyway, try take the pup to your vet, if it's a good facility they might have to assess the mental status of the puppy.

You have to also observe the animal on things that might cause such triggers and try to avoid such as much as possible.

Lots of love, pampering, toys it can play with will also aid the puppy, conducive environment for sleeping.

Also on your own try to play with it within your compound and also gradually introduce other family members and neighbors towards the regimen

I believe that will also aid to reduce the anxiety and also boost the puppy's confidence.

I wish mine is that aggressive but nope. Been trying not to make the same mistake with my boerboel but seems I don’t know how to bring forth its aggresiveness

How old now... Keep us updated.. get toys also because the dog needs f someone to play with if not na your shoes go collect

Thank you so much, I will do as you suggestested and also monitor closely to know if there is anything bordering the puppy.

I think it's better for those dogs not to be aggressive because these powerful dogs can be dangerous sometimes.

This one na Afin o. To have a puppy no be small wahala. O have a German Shepard that will be 3 month in few days. Not aggressive but play too much with my shoes. Me don taya

Your dog is security conscious, enjoy your dog, just try to socialize him/ her more

female dogs are very territorial and aggressive... Do well to give me feedback when she gets pregnant
