Good points. I just feel Iran can quickly become an economic powerhouse if sanctions are lifted. With their huge gas reserves they can partner with Russia and build pipelines from Russia to Pakistan and India. Pakistan and North Korea have said directly and indirectly they’ll give Iran nukes if they are nuked. If the Iranian civilian nuclear program can be transferred to Russia ( this will be difficult for the proud Persians) then I think it’s a good deal. The USA wants to destroy Russia and china but they’re still doing business with both.

They have no intention of letting them prosper.
So they need a deterrent to keep the US/Israel on their best behavior even after sanctions are lifted.

The missile stockpile is a great primary deterrent.
But in the absence of a nuke (which we know they can't have if they seek economic prosperity in the near-term), they must at least have the ability to enrich nuclear material.
Call it the Japan compromise.

Japan does not have nukes.
But it can enrich nuclear material.
At any point Japan faces an existential threat, it will put together a nike within a short time while its conventional defense buys time.

Iran needs that.
Its scientists and generals have been assassinated within and outside its borders.
It has sacrificed too much to give up enrichment for any reason under the sun.

The deal is good, but control of Iran remains their ultimate target. Look at what the Syrian jihadists are now getting away with. They've killed hundreds of Christians and Shiites but since they're puppets, you don't hear much cries from the West. So long as Iran doesn't become another gulf country, a nuke remains necessary for its survival. If they can't make one secretly, they must get some from North Korea and be ready to test it when the devil comes knocking again

Iran doesn't need a nuke. Israel is not attacking anyone at all with their nukes , and if they have to , it will be the Samson option. We go down but all those beautiful cities in Europe, those cities, it will be a shame if something happens to them. Europe rushed to protect Israel from Iranian missiles while learning their own lessons. Soon every nation will have hypersonic missiles.
Who needs a war in the middle east. Only Iran . Saudi and other countries embracing Abraham Accords know their clerics and extremists are the ones who are concerned about the existence of Israel as a Jewish nation in territory once ruled by Muslims. The leadership doesn't care as long as they are in power.
If theocrats in Iran lose power to secularists then immediate threat to Israel goes away. They were sponsoring any one who could fight Israel.
The world has largely moved on ,only extremists and clerics give a hoot about Israel, Jerusalem ,or Jews.

A clear indication that the Iranian regime is under pressure from the economic consequences of the conflict with Israel.

According to reports, in the past two days, 120,000 Afghan refugees were deported from Iran in what has been described as the largest deportation operation of refugees from Iran in 20 years.

For years, Iranians have complained that Afghan refugees are an economic burden on the country, increasing unemployment and putting pressure on resources.

Is it a coincidence that a day after the ceasefire with Israel, the first thing the Ayatollah regime does is deport tens of thousands of Afghans? We think not.

The regime understands that the negative and destructive processes in the Iranian economy before the conflict with Israel will only intensify and accelerate, and they are trying to address this, among other things, through the deportation of Afghans.

It is highly doubtful whether this will help...

We talked about this here a few days ago. A good number of the Mossad spies caught in Iran are foreigners, particularly Afghans. It makes sense that Iran will want to deport those it suspects of being Mossad spies but is unsure of their status.
