MajorB009:
Update, had to get the OBD diagnostic tool and the fault code displayed one of this

P2185 [0x2185]
Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 2 - circuit high
Status: Confirmed

Could this be the likely cause of the increase in temperature while the AC is on?

If so how do I resolve this pls
Had similar issue, scanned and got the same code, the guage would keep rising making it seem like the car is over heating, but it's not actually overheating, it's the circuit that's shorting and giving false reading, all I did was unplug the it clean the Contact area and plug it in back, Never had that issue again.
So just try that or try changing the ECT sensor totally

check under your gear if your dried or if there is gear oil.
I see a snippet of oil.

But this vibration is not a regular occurrence

What could be wrong?

Good morning boss
Much respect,

As suggested I have started using 20W 50 (first usage) but the oil still shorts now its on the last hole close to the end of the iron and yet no smoke from the exhast pipe.
dru23:
That car has been abused by the previous owner more than likely using 20w50. It is too thick for the engine, by you reverting to the manufacturer recommended 5w20 is too late ,due to weak oil seal by 20w50...

You have few options here .......

1. Start using 20w50 and observe from there. If you notice blue smoke coming from the tail pipe, the engine is on its last leg...

2. Sell the car and count your losses

3. Go look for a tokunbo engine Grade A if you can find one. And if you do make sure you use the recommended oil 5w20.

Which car is this,

If you drive a modern Honda, try replacing the PCV valve and checking for leaks around the joints and seals.

Search for leaks around timing chain cover, valve cover, sump, replace PCV valve.

You should get a brand new PCV valve from hondajosh

If it is still shorten oil.. it means the engine is on its last leg.. this is why we encourage people to always follow owners manual at all times..

. Even if person wan use thicker oil, 10w30 to 10w40 would have been more appropriate ......... When you are experiencing now is the vast result of using 20w50. The affect might not be right away ,but with due time it will show its face .......

You have to now sit down and make some choices.. you either sell off the car or continue using it.. but once smoke start coming from tail pipe. It will be hard to sell the car ...

If you are not seeing any leaks, then the engine is burning up the oil. Fill it up to required level, then push the throttle to 3000/4000 rpm, watch the exhaust for smoke.

Get ready to replace the engine or find someone capable to overhaul the engine, then manage it for some months/years.

House, I need help!

My 2006 Honda Accord doesn't engage in drive when you put it in D for 3 seconds if the engine has not warmed up. This does not happen when it's fully warmed up, even if it is put off and parked for about an hour, until it is cold again. This has happened to my reverse before, but it does not do that when engaged in reverse again.

We scanned the car, but nothing emerged from the gearbox.

What could be wrong, and what is the solution?

Good morning everyone. My car is burning oil. Although it's been five months since my last oil change, I used a whole 5L with an additional 1L after two months, but as of today, the oil level has dropped again. The previous owner abused it by using Total oil without knowing the correct type or weight. I started using 5W-20 after I got the car.

I've also been experiencing oil leaks from the top valve cover. I bought a new seal and tried multiple times to stop the leak, but it still leaks a bit when the engine is at operating temperature. What can I do? It's a Honda Accord 2009 with an R20 engine.

No smoking whatsoever.

How often do you guys change shocks?

I understand some people shocks will have to be totally damaged and bad before they considering changing it. But for some very people once they noticed any slight under performance of the shocks they will consider changing it immediately.

So this question is dicy. It’s for people who can’t drive a car comfortably once the any of the shocks showing a sign of problem.
