According to jamb "you deleted people with fake admission from your system" the question is, how did their details get into your system in the first place?
Exactly! This is a misconduct warranting resignation by Jamb leadership...but nay, they're more concerned about vilifying the unguided!

Walai, a lot of you have problem. Someone did magomago to enter school. JAMB has no record he was admitted to said school and he is not in their system. But somehow it is Nigeria fault. Not the person that went to arrange admission for himself and deceive himself for 7yrs that he was a student of the school. Some of you need electric shock therapy.

If you know you have fake admission, don’t wait for years before retaking JAMB. No let any school official take your money and deceive you. If the admission is not from JAMB. You are not a student.

Even the great OAU once had a saga like this that year: fake admission list!

Of course their staff perpetrated it only that it was detected on time and the affected students were not allowed to register or resume at all.

This guy fell victim of admission racketeers in FUTA. The school itself never detected it, or should I say the racketeers patched things up real good, only for JAMB to detect it much later.

Who is the culpable: the school.
Normally, in my alma mater they verify results in the third year and detect fake admissions and O level results. This is too late too, in my view.

I'm lost here,is Jamb duty not only to conduct unify entrance examination for candidates to our tertiary institutions but also include regulating admissions to our tertiary institutions?.

Do you want read that. Jamiu approached mama Jamiu in the night before making himself available to DSS , then Baba Jamiu after hearing his son's issues took action and went to bail his son with his friends at their custody, then mama and baba Jamiu decided to go to jamb office in Akure to make another statement regarding their son fake jamb admission.

Is that what you are expecting to read?

JAMB is beginning to lose its relevance and the government should consider scrapping it.

Isn't it rather funny that people spend 6 years in secondary schools, attend classes, pass exams and tests that will eventually mean nothing in the future?

In America, they ask for the transcript of your high school results before giving you admission.

In Nigeria, you attend all the classes, get punished for not attending them and eventually write WAEC, JAMB and post-UTME. That means all the first position you were struggling to get in school was useless because WAEC supersedes all that trash.

Who designed this education system?
I don't support scrapping them but the power given to them should be reduced, power to admit supposed be with the individual institution so far the candidate meet all the required conditions, the institution should only be verifying the genuinety of the jamb result from the jamb.

Haha this your comment get as it be, is it from an educated family that understand what you're going through that also have time.

Kingdavid579:
Let’s be honest—JAMB is beginning to overdo it.

Yes, regulation is important, but when a body starts wielding power in a way that frustrates the future of young people, it becomes a problem.

Not every irregularity is fraud.

Sometimes, people genuinely go through a process they thought was right—especially when schools themselves are involved.

🎓 Many students were admitted through unconventional routes like part-time, distance learning, or fast-track programs.

Some didn’t even know they were supposed to go through JAMB regularization until years later.

Whose fault is that? The institution should take responsibility—not the student alone.

🧾 And now, someone graduates, gets a certificate, serves the country through NYSC, and suddenly JAMB says “you’re not valid”? How?

✅ What JAMB should be doing is working with schools to clean up the system—not waking up and declaring someone’s future invalid just because their name wasn’t in one database years ago.

✅ And any school that truly admitted a student should be the one defending that student, not leaving them to carry the burden alone.

This is how you break the spirit of hardworking Nigerians—people who already struggled to go to school without government help.

No scholarship, no subsidy, no support. Now after they finish, you tell them they’re not “genuine”?

Let’s not forget: power is not forever.
JAMB should focus on fixing the process, not punishing people retroactively.

Nigeria should be a place where people feel encouraged to get an education—not punished for it.
You've summarized it.

A few years ago, I decided to start educating undergraduates about JAMB Regularization (on and off Nairaland) because I was a victim. My case was similar to this guy's. Wrote Jamb, did POST-UTME, passed, but switched course (not my will). The switch was not perfected well, then I had serious issues as soon as I finished year 4.

I couldn't go for service until after 3 years of my final paper. My convocation was 2 years after my final paper.

I'm talking about a top 3 FG tertiary institution!

I know of two candidates in my institution suffering from the same fate. Submitted themselves to the police for investigation and went through all the checks and nothing was found, yet JAMB is yet to regularise their admissions. May Nigeria never happen to any of us!
Re: FUTA Student Seeks Help As JAMB Flags Admission ‘seven Years After UTME’ by Abee79(m): 2:50pm On Jun 29, 2025
I think that he should first verify whether his admission was properly processed through JAMB. If the institution cannot confirm the admission through JAMB’s system, the admission may be deemed invalid. Since JAMB has stated that universities should defend legitimate admissions, he should request the school to formally validate his admission status. If the institution fails to do so, he may be at risk of allegations of forgery, especially if the DSS is already investigating similar cases.

In such situations, the student should seek legal assistance immediately to protect his rights and avoid self-incrimination. Gathering supporting documents—such as payment receipts, registration records, and any correspondence with the school—can help strengthen his case. Rather than engaging JAMB or security agencies directly, he should allow legal professionals and the institution to handle the matter. If the admission is confirmed to be fraudulent, he may need to explore alternative legal or academic pathways to regularize his status. Professional guidance is crucial in navigating this messy situation.

The a possiblity of wasting seven years can be traumatic. In any case, JAMB has outlived it's usefulness in Nigeria!

Take them to court . Those people heading jamb and your school are supposed to be shown the way out.. sue the hell out of them and get money out of them for eating your time. Incompetent set of people. They failed woefully in the last jamb exams in their preparation etc , came out to apologize instead of resigning.. see them saying some people have erred.

JAMB..... always messing up..... always in the news for wrong reasons.
The education system has been skewed to work against individuals who cannot afford to live above the system.
From the president to the local government councillors, over 90% of them are using affidavits to cover the fact that they cannot defend the academic qualifications they claim.
If not that the DG of JAMB was caught red-handed manipulating the results of 5 South East States and Lagos, they would be getting away with their claims of trying to sanitise the system.
Very clearly an initiative is ongoing to ensure that the destiny of certain sectors of the country are compromised.
THEY FORGOT TO FACTOR GOD IN THEIR PLANS.

Smh. It's like you have not registered for JAMB before and you don't know anyone who has done so. If you have ever registered for JAMB you will not be asking people how the information candidates voluntarily uploaded and gave to JAMB got to JAMB database. Smh

It is a dumb question. If you didn't know anything about JAMB, please ask educated people around you.
JAMB doesn't go around knocking on people's door to beg them to upload their information.

If the school gives JAMB the go ahead to issue admission letter, it's same school that will tell them otherwise. That's why JAMB is saying that they don't have direct business with the student. JAMB takes instruction from the school and verify the information just to be on same page.
