It was Buhari's idea but Hadi Sirika mismanaged the funds. Someone with his level of education in aircrafts and all should have done better.
with nigerias precarious finances we had no business floating a national carrier. it was nothing more than an unnecessary vanity project with no ostensible purpose other than boosting the ego of buhari

The issue is from now to 100 years Monerozi will not see the point that the Nigeria Air was totally unnecessary .

It's this half attempt to gaslight that takes away your mask as an Obi hater.

For fks sake, who is the victim here that you expect to be circumspect in the way he cries?

You have not even condemned the idiotic bigoted response of the Lagos authorities. But let's crucify Obi because he cried.

Politics apart, what happened shouldn't have in a society where the rule of law is obeyed.
There is no mask bro. I was the first person to label Obi a snake oil salesman here and I still think he is a 419 saviour. If you don’t like it you can do the needful.

I am not one that believes in political messiahs. You people attack anyone that criticises Obi in any way. I said he didn’t act with tact even though I also agreed that he had reason to be angry and suspicious but you ignored my first statement and latched unto the 2nd statement like someone holding on to a parachute for dear life.

Obi is far from perfect and can be criticised. Stop trying to bully people into your cult.

It is not about the stress but the cries and moans of “It’s too big”, and “Kadan kadan, Alhaji”.

Those 2 phrases alone will scatter any sane man’s dada and alleviate any stress.

Yeah that is the way the story goes. People can sometimes be very intolerant of other people’s opinions and it is worst amongst the Obi.diot cult. grin

I’m sorry to say, but you’re not making any sense with the position you’ve taken. Yes, it’s true that most people may not want to pay taxes, but you can’t just ignore the fact that taxes fund many of the things we all rely on — no matter how deadbeat or broken some of them may seem right now.

We’re talking about:
- Public schools and hospitals
- Roads, bridges, and transport systems
- Salaries of civil servants, police, security officers, teachers, doctors, and more
- Clean water, electricity, and essential infrastructure

Even if the system isn’t perfect, and not everyone enjoys all the benefits listed above, refusing to pay tax doesn’t help — it only makes things worse.
If you want to complain about how public funds are being spent, you should at least be contributing. That’s how you earn the right to hold leaders accountable.

No be only to shout “corruption” — we all have to carry our share of the load. That’s how real change begins.
Spare me of any preaching bro.

The whole point of taxation is to contribute a fair share toward government expenditure, and I have paid more than enough through indirect taxes. The government can’t preach about proper taxation when they haven’t shown any atom of good faith.

Public schools and hospitals? Really? Most public schools serves as public toilets where boys go to answer natures call, don’t let the metropolis you live deceive you.

Public hospitals where people die waiting to be attended to? Even after they are attended to after ages, recommended meds or even tests are still unaffordable. Don’t get me started on the mayhem GOP doctors cause, dishing out meds for things they have no idea about.

Those infrastructures you sited are financed through aggressive borrowing which are heavily serviced and in turn cause a strain on our FX reserves. When the naira dips, me the tax payer suffer the most while those who collect these taxes had looted half of borrowed funds.

Civil servants that you literally have to still bribe so they can attend to you? grin

Police that are known more for extortion than providing security??

Doctors that one barely have access to? Try go to a public hospital Diggz and see if you will see the doctor even after spending 8 hours there.

I pay separately to finance my own security in my estate, so??

Where is the clean water these tax collectors provide ?? Ridiculous!!

Enough said, I have contributed my fair share through indirect taxes and paying that income tax is part of the reason I quit salary job.
