Anyway, nothing has been done about all the anomalies discovered in the 2025 budget..

The way we dey talk this tax matter, e almost be like na Oyinbo country we dey. Even in countries where there's somewhat fair use of tax, people (billionaires inclusive) are still looking for ways to duck taxes, now imagine a country where you can pay tax of say 1M a year, and less that 100K actually finds use in governance...what then is the incentive to continue paying these taxes?

Like how many persons would continue paying estate dues if they find out that their estate chairman is embezzling up to 60% of the dues they pay?

I don't think the average Nigerian pays taxes because they believe it's the right thing to do, or that it'd trickle down somehow...they pay because they have no choice, and left to their own devices, or bar the benefits that come from having that paper trail, most persons won't pay tax.

Even while supporting his right to complain and seek redress, i criticized his manner of doing it. He is a political leader and has the ability to inspire tens of thousands to rise up in his defense. He has to be tactful in how he responds to situations, and as a leader keep his emotions in check. He should not respond the way you or i would respond.

Land grabbing happens everywhere in Nigeria not only Lagos and has been happening for decades. It is an abhorrent practice but not indicative of any failing unique to the present government. The issue needs to be investigated, and redress should be sought in court and those responsible, if found guilty, need to be punished accordingly.
