Whilst not disputing that some ladies are supporting their lifestyle with other means, some of these young ladies are making huge legit money, moreso their expenses are lower compared to their male counterpart hence they can afford to splurge once in awhile.
Also the margins on wigs is crazy, also the market is huge... They are also selling to the Naija in diaspora, example my daughter spent almost 3M on wigs in a store in Lagos during a recent visit, according to her & her friends it was a very good deal, and I consider her financially savvy, however it still didn't make sense to me but na their money.
It’s not far-fetched to think she’s on the OS train. Being married doesn't stop anything.
She used to roll with Ama, and you know how the saying goes: “Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are”.

She might even be into money laundering. A lot of these so-called content creators and celebrities aren’t just influencers — they’re cash-washing machines for politicians. That soft life is just their cut of the loot.

She claims she’s an investor with multiple streams of income, but when Egungun asked her she couldn't name anything aside hair. grin

Afa BluRayDick, e be like say the move now na to enter this hair business o. Just two, maybe three months ago, one babe bought a 50m Benz — all from "selling hair."

If I start this business and don’t make the kind of profit these babes are making, Chief Olowunl will refund me. grin

She may not even own the Cyber truck.

Everything might just be PR to trend, either to get clients for her hair, or her other "hair"

That's another possibility Sha. Nothing people no dey do for clout these days.

Saw a post on it yesterday, and honestly, let’s stop pretending — a lot of these so-called “business babes” are just running PR for their second job: high-end prostitution. Because 8 times out of 10, their lifestyle has zero alignment with their supposed hustle. Like seriously — who the hell sells wigs and ends up behind the wheel of a ₦350 million+ car? Even those ones who sell polo and wristwatch, smh.

Back when I was still in the world, I learned one thing real quick: in this country, almost every woman has a price. Doesn’t matter if she’s in a power suit, pushing a Benz, or working some high-end job — it all boils down to who’s asking and what’s on the table.

The fact that she was even mentioning thr name of the car dealer that sold the cybertruck to her in the video now makes me want to agree with Izzou that everything was a set-up to promote her hair brand and even the car dealer's brand too

Bro endsars was literally a war against police.

You can see videos of policemen being k1illed...so they were all hiding for their deer lives.

Even with the numerous killings in several parts of the country, isnt it looking like vigilantes or local security outfits are the best to protect communities than relying on our police?
So if we dont pay taxes and police are not paid and they all stop working, How long do you think you will survive in such environment?

Ordinary traffic warden no dey road you see the chaos it degenerates into, Now imagine to control, everyone do as you want. The thugs the bandits etc, why do you think they have not invaded where you live or you think they dont know the way there?
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:59pm On Jul 01, 2025
BlueRayDick:
Baba, the point Rumdeuter was making and which I agree with him on is that as bad as Nigeria police are; their absence is not desirable at all.

In the days that followed the ENDSARS massacre, most policemen downed towns across Lagos state and most communities were on edge. Men formed themselves into vigilante groups keeping watch over their communities for fear of being overrun by criminals in the absence of police. There was serious fear and apprehension across various communities . If u lived in a middle class environment that time, u will understand that fear.

Nigerian police have their various failings o, but they are like the ones holding this our society from descending into total chaos. The typical Nigerian would not even behave well without being compelled to, now imagine the criminals amongst us being given free rein in the absence of police?

And yes, it is our taxes that is being used to fund the police and other security agencies. I know someone personally who had his car stolen at a car wash in Oshodi Lagos and Nigeria police helped him track and recover it around Idi Iroko Ogun state before the thief could cross boarder.
During that endsars period, I was on the phone with someone in Naija when his estate was attacked, he had to drop off quickly. Next day he told me some peoples properties were looted and they started planning how to pay some group of area boys to help them secure their estate

Even in the US where people say police are useless and want to defund the police, 2 days of police absence everyone will start shouting for police to come back, When gangs enter your business and start carrying anything they want with no police to call,

Imagine you wey wan go work in the morning spent the night doing vigilante work by 6am you begin go office which work are you going to do after a sleepless night

I get your point and even Raumdeuters point as well.

My point is not exactly in support of tax evasion, just criticizing the way it is being managed...and looted by the cr1m1nals parading as leaders. For the record, I pay my taxes and heavily too. But is these taxes used judiciously?

Most people here understands this but they will evade it...cos they support the cr1m1nals I'm talking about.
Maybe because many people evade it without punishment is why your own tax seem not to be achieving much. If everyone was supposed to contribute #10k each and half are not doing that but enjoying services, the half paying will not see the full effect

If the majority of the people stop paying taxes the country will collapse. People always think they are suffering until the next level suffering comes.

2 years ago when people even on this thread were clamouring for quick removal of fuel subsidy, I warned that if it was done the suffering of that time would look like child’s play compared to what would come after. People did not understand then.

You can’t say because Wike used funds to help Tinubu you don’t want to pay taxes. That would be cutting off your nose to spite your face and the country will turn to Haiti in front of your eyes.
I wanted to mentin Haiti but some people will say Naija is no better until you actually live in it, when you are paying the same taxes to 1000 McOluomo and Tony Kabaka for your security

I don’t want to think a couple of hundreds mean 200k because there’s no way the Nigerian police I know will charge so little.

The last time I arrested a credit defaulter, I bought fuel for vehicle and food for the policemen that followed me. That’s after other extortions. So as a tax payer, I have resolved to using my fist to tackle such cases in the future.

So ask your friend again, I am sure he paid nothing short of 500k after the whole operation.

It was that period I knew that the fear of criminals probably getting caught by security agencies is the only reason criminals have not overrun many communities. The moment that fear is taken out , u will be surprised at how criminals will operate with full impunity even in broad daylight.

Even those of us that didn't join dem bros to do vigilante overnight, we support them with ogogoro other form of moral support for standing in the gap for the police.

Wait fess!

So, if I wake tomorrow and decide to start typing in proper English instead of pidgin and code mixing ( most especially substituting "U" and "UR" for "YOU" and "YOUR" respectively); people will assume it is ChatGPT assisted and me typing it? 🤷‍♂️

I used to think it is common knowledge that most people prefer to type in less formal way online simply because they feel comfortable doing so, not necessarily because they can't.
Even if you decide to wake up tomorrow and decide to start typing in proper English, that wont give you perfect punctuation and diction or make you start using the em sign —. That's the number 1 giveaway. There's no shame in admitting to using ChatGPT to reconstruct your own words. I was making an observation not criticizing.

Egbon mi, No think am, Women expenses big pass men own. Especially those into glamorous lifestyles. How much they buy one wig you fit use am cut your hair for 2years. And women who are into that life dont even repeat them because their fellow women will be like she wore this clothes last month she use this wig last week

Selling wigs to Naija in diaspora when na diaspora dem dey source the wigs. All the wigs are from China and if you go on amazon or Ali express they will ship to you in US or UK directly.

Of all those selling wigs and living large maybe only 2 out of 10 live on the wig income, the others dey dagbo am

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:39pm On Jul 01, 2025
BlueRayDick:
Baba, those ladies have expenses too.

For example the vendor ur daughter patronized will be located in a cosmopolitan part of Lagos where she will be paying rent to the tune of millions. She will buy diesel almost every day to power her store/shop, she will have staff she pays salaries too and they also pay influencers millions for advert to maintain visibility.

It's not like they make those millions and don't spend out of it at all. Anybody who can pack over N350m to buy a Cybertruck in this Nigeria will definitely have more than double of that stored somewhere as savings. I don't think that's the case with these ladies in question.
How many ladies who make legit income in Nigeria can afford wigs of over 5m or even 1m. When they will still have like 10 wigs for rotation
Sometimes we look at the very few on SM and assume everyone dey hammer like that. For 1 VivkyJames wey dey hammer on top tailor parole, like another 100 wanabee VickyJames are roasting.

For one OS charging 1m per night, there are 1000 who are begging to see 10k per night

Abi no be the same Naija wey we dey hear everyday say people dey suffer ni

For you to spend 350m on a cybertruck means 1m profit in 350 places

Make we no let IG capping and bragging sell us zobo

Unless na my egbon diggz dey finance them

I thought Wike is a lawyer and his wife a judge. If people's gazette is making this story up like Lere Olayinka keeps insisting, why is he not suing them?

I mean Lere Olayinka's rebuttals are not convincing , yet the civil servants supplying People's gazette info keep insisting Wike's hand is deep in the cookie jar
