Panic erupted during Jumaat prayers at the Central Mosque in Auchi, Edo State, as a swarm of bees invaded the area.

Worshippers were seen fleeing for safety as the unexpected incident disrupted the prayer session.

The cause of the bee invasion remains unclear, but no injuries have been reported so far.

Bees smell range is up to a kilometer..
Not that far considering other animals smell way further .
Another thing..attracting bees doesn't make them attack you..
You can have a swarm of bees in your neighborhood and nothing will happen unless you stoke the hive or agitate the colony..then they attack . stinging multiple times till the victim lays dead. Running can't help as they fly over 30km/hr, way faster than a human. Even diving into water won't save you as they'll hover around and continue stinging when you come up for air.
Bees don't attack on a whim .they ain't herdsmen.
