In Iran’s case, its economy will face pressure regardless of whether it develops nuclear weapons. If Iran halts its nuclear program, they will claim it cannot have missiles. If Iran stops its missile program, they will accuse it of funding terrorism. There will always be excuses to kill Iran off. This stems from a deep-seated hatred toward Iran as an independently growing power in the Middle East—how dare Iran rise? It's kinda like the hatred Biden and Europe show toward Russia.
