2027 coalition: There’s no agreement between Peter Obi, Atiku – Obidient Movement

The leadership of the Obidient Movement has said that there is no agreement between Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party’s presidential candidate and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking on Arise Television on Tuesday, Yunusa Tanko, the interim national coordinator of the Obidient Movement said there is no agreement on a joint ticket for both politicians ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to Tanko, such an agreement is a mere fiction of people’s imagination as discussions on that have not taken place between Atiku and Obi.

He said, “That topic hasn’t even come up. People are speculating, but there’s no such talk now.”

Also confirming that discussions are currently ongoing ahead of the 2027 polls, Tanko said all agreements must be made in the interest of the Nigerian populace.

“There are already conversations going on to see how we can merge a lot of forces together. It’s not necessarily just Peter Obi and the Labour Party. It’s about Nigeria and how we can rescue the country,” he said.

He also stated that Obi remains committed to forming a strong coalition devoid of ethnic, religious or political affiliations but based on competence and capacity.

“It’s not going to be business as usual. If he (Obi) raises a candidate’s hand today, people will follow him. That’s the truth. It’s not about the party anymore, it’s about the individual and the values he represents,” Tanko added.

These guys are just so delusional and truly believe that any sane human would take this nursery-rhymed movement of theirs serious, politically.

As much as I would say "God forbid" to a desperate, power-hungry, and another clueless Fulani Atiku to become the President, mind you, Obi isn't less power-hungry, less desperate, or clue-full either. But the best bet at unseating a BAT as it is today is a coalition headed by an Atiku with Obi as a deputy. Anything other than this would simply hand an extra 4 year term to Tinubu on a platter as was the case in the last election.

As usual in Nigerian Politics, it has always been between the devil and the deep blue sea.

It says a lot about the quality of leaders available for us to chose from and the style of government we are saddled with to operate.

Make obidient just dey calm down because they don't understand anything. What I find strange about them is believing that Obi alone can win an election if he decides to run without the coalition. It's either he worked with Atiku or he shouldn't contest at all otherwise he will be a spoiler again.
What then happen to Obi presidential ambition because now presidency could go to the North. So 6+8 years of Tinubu and North presidency which pushes Obi age to close to eight years.
Since he cannot win due to APC rigging he should be wise enough not to split votes this time.
The best combo is Atiku/Obi.
The reason is because of block votes from the North. The kind of result that favours Obi in the South is no longer realistic any more due to PDP governors that decamped to APC. Those guys will work for Tinubu.
Obi will not be able to have those numbers anymore.
Except he wants to contest for pride than afterwards he will be shouting the election was rigged when we all know it will be rigged easily if he is in the ballots.

Peter should just remain in LP and try again even if he fails. Being VP to any other candidate is not very good for his brand . It looks desperate

The best thing for VP Atiku to do now is to support Peter obi on this ADC matter. Atiku will be the hero if does that.

The issue with supporting Peter Obi as the coalition presidential candidate is nobody will fund the campaign. Atiku learned something in 2019 as Obi refused to drop money for the election campaign. Even the one given to him by the party, he was frugal with the spending

Anything but TINUBU.

Moreover, the North should understand that THEY DO NOT WIELD POWER over other regions.

Now the South is standing against the NORTH even though the SOUTHERN UNITY President is only concentrating on the SW.

If the SE or SS was PRESIDENT will the same SW stand with the SE or SS?

This is food for thought for those that supported Jonathan and saw how the SW threw him under the bus for an abject failure called BUHARI.

Karma...never expires. cool

Which brand are you talking about? You must be from the East, to be speaking grammar and not knowing what politics is really about. Keep eating brand while those who understand the game of politics keep ruling you. See you, see brand

Lol @ bolded….But he raised Olumide’s hand in Edo and he lost scandalously. He should test his popularity in his home state and raise the hand of the LP candidate against Soludo, then let’s see if this statement holds true
Re: There’s No Agreement Between Peter Obi, Atiku – Obidient Movement by otherway: 2:57pm On Jul 02, 2025
Then Tinubu all the way to 2027

Now I can confirm that Obi is working for Tinubu

“There are already conversations going on to see how we can merge a lot of forces together. It’s not necessarily just Peter Obi and the Labour Party. It’s about Nigeria and how we can rescue the country,” he said."

Anybody with the least common sense should know that it is only Atiku /Obi ticket that can remove Tinubu.

Atiku has a strong hold on the north and OBi has on the south.

If obidients ever think that Obi will win this next election with merging with Atiku then they must be the greatest comedians of all time.

Obi can never near Aso Rock if he does not merge with Atiku.
Re: There’s No Agreement Between Peter Obi, Atiku – Obidient Movement by lailo: 2:57pm On Jul 02, 2025
The truth is that Peter Obi is not fit and competent enough to rule a complex Nigeria. Atiku who has that pedigree has no interest of the country at heart other than to re-establish the firm grip of fulani oligarchy and loot Nigeria dry to recover from all financial losses in previous elections. Corruption under both of them will take a new form as Obi will be clueless like Jonathan and Atiku will loot with reckless abandone.
We all know this including the obidient group but anything to remove Tinubu is a goal for them.
Why will people just deliberately wish to leave an evil and purposefully want to pursue an impending doom. Nigeria is just another funny house of enemies living together.
