I planted this pawpaw tree in my compound and I've just plucked the first set of fruits. Months after, the fruits are going bad on the tree.
Please what is the problem and solution?

The name of the drug is........ SUPER NIOXRE CARE....

Go to any vegitarian or poultry store.. Ask of this particular drugs... There's two type of it......... Buy all.. Spry it to the plant and put one inside water feed the root with the water two times a day.., Early morning and late evening.....

Look for pesticides, it’s the season of pests on the trees, just sprinkle it around the roots and thank me later.

Iffa ea... That's the speech of the pawpaw. It is naturally bad like that. We had that kind of pawpaw in the past we had to cut it down to allow better ones grow.

They are better and more sweeter ones

Is it planted near a gutter, where soap water and trash pass?

Spray with fungicide, maybe it will recover

But I doubt

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOUR PAWPAW
Well, It's a Powdery mildew, caused by the fungus Oidium caricae, is a common disease affecting pawpaw (papaya) trees. It appears as a white or grayish powdery coating on leaves, stems, and sometimes fruit. While it can reduce fruit yield and size, it's usually not fatal to the tree.
Proper Hygiene Around The Papaya Coupled With Effectively Chemical Control Isn't A Bad Idea.

Get a good fungicide and insecticide, prune the affected part and spray. You can likewise get neem oil and apply.

I would have asked you to ask Aki and pawpaw but it looks like fungal infection. Any mild fungicide would do if applied.

Omo I miss pawpaw.gold old days in my secondary school.when we get home, we quickly rush to the garden and get some almost ripe pawpaw and devour it.
This north it seems pawpaw is even more expensive than pineapple.

OP don’t mind this man. Your plant is being attacked by pests. Find an agriculturist to give you the solution.

These are Fungi infection that is affecting your tree

I equally had one like this last year. Nothing like dirt around it at all as it was even in the midst of pumpkin beds. It later yielded better fruits after a new set of fruits formed this year. However, they started getting ripe prematurely, so I eventually had to cut it down a few weeks ago.

Wow wow.l had thought that pawpaw tree cannot do well in my compound. I experience same for years until l changed my orientation. At the moment, l have 12 trees in my compound giving me much satisfaction and little change. There are varieties of pawpaw. choose the right species and you are good to go.You can get good ones from these mallam selling pawpaws at bus stop. Endeavor to water it often time and indeed keep the environment clean.Good luck

I don't think this is the cause.
It's a disease that affects carica papaya .
I believe someone will or has provided the solution.

Several fungi can cause these infections, including Anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides), Fusarium fruit rot, and Alternaria fruit spot. These diseases can manifest as spots, lesions, or overall rot on the fruit, affecting both the appearance and edibility.
Fungicide can treat this.
Hygiene and cot water treatment can also help.
The fruits are not safe for consumption. I'll suggest you pluck the fruits and pour hot water to kill the infection. Then wait for a better harvest next season

Are dirts not manure? I remember my agriculture lessons in school, we were told that dirts decay to nourish and aid plants growth.

You can't be serious lol. Better get an agriculturist or better talk to farmers. Zero chance that regularly bathing the tree with bitter leaf, ginger extract will cause a serious change lmao.
