If you're on Upwork, make sure you are writing proposals that get viewed. Make sure you're applying for jobs that get you hired.

Dear prolific client, I hope you're doing well! I came across your job posting for a Social Media and Client Management Assistant in your plant-based nutrition and fitness business, and I couldn’t help but smile. Not only because I'm deeply passionate about health-conscious communities, but also because the structure and soul of this role align so naturally with what I’ve been doing for the past few years. As a seasoned content writer and virtual assistant with over four years of experience managing blogs, social media, and client communication for health, wellness, and tech brands, I bring more than just skills; I bring dedication, initiative, and a people-first mindset. Here’s a snapshot of how I can support your vision: ✅ Client Relationship & Organization: I’ve built CRM lists, led onboarding processes, and maintained seamless communication with clients, ensuring they always feel seen and supported. My attention to detail and structured workflow means no file goes missing, no follow-up gets delayed, and every plan stays updated. ✅ Social Media with Soul: From crafting content calendars and designing engaging posts (with captivating captions and on-brand hashtags) to moderating communities and building genuine connections, I make social media feel human. On Upwork and Fiverr, I’ve helped brands increase engagement by up to 60% by aligning content with what the audience truly cares about. ✅ Administrative Backbone: Managing emails, scheduling client calls, and keeping digital spaces tidy? That's my sweet spot. I thrive in creating order and giving business owners the peace of mind to focus on what they do best transforming lives. Working remotely with integrity, staying ahead of deadlines, and communicating with clarity are not just buzzwords for me they're how I operate daily. I’m excited by the long-term nature of this role and would be honored to contribute to a mission that aligns with wellness and intentional living. Let’s discuss how I can help you make more impact with less stress. Warmly, Olutola Solomon This was the last I sent Jaycobbs: |

Oluwatobiloba07:Sorry I'm just replying. There's quite a number of things wrong with this proposal. Just go through it and check out how many times you used "I" and "my" compared to how many times you used "you" and "your". People are selfish, especially someone who could potentially be your client. They don't really care about you, but what you can do for them and how capable you are of doing the job. You can talk about yourself, but only after demonstrating that you understand what the client wants and that you can carry it out successfully. Secondly. The proposal is too long. You can shorten it quite a bit and still get your message across. I'm not saying you should get write a tweet-sized proposal, but don't add in too much explanations. Your client would have a lot of people applying for this job, so let your proposal be skimmable. I also like to start my proposal with a hook. That's, something that grabs their attention ASAP. Something quite interesting. Here are some proposals that got me contracts:

This one hasn't reflected my latest job offer yet, but that's okay. ![]() Don't apply for every job, even the ones that look juicy. Don't waste your connects. Set yourself up for success. Do the ones nobody will do. When you've built up your account to $10K, then you can name your price. ✌🏻

😎😎 Just in. Another interview in the bag. LFG! Just need to close this deal and add this to my list of clients. Waiting on feedback from the last interview I had. Still looking for the really big wins but I'll be patient. One step at a time.
