Congratulations Halima, pls which city did you pick as your preferred city in your application, i want to know because some people visa took 3 months while yours took 1 month to be out, some people said if you pick big cities it might take longer, just want to confirm if it's true

If I understand you clearly boss, you selected 6 months as your duration of stay for Chancenkarte and uploaded a BA for 6 months, yet the embassy asked you to upload 1 year BA? Not that you selected 1 year duration of stay and uploaded 6 months BA? This means they're not issuing the visa for 6 months in Nigeria.

If the above is true then the embassy is contradicting itself. Someone here attached a mail from the German embassy in Lagos where they confirmed the 6 months stuff themselves.

I actually plan on helping a friend in Naija with 6 months blocked account, that's why I'm even here following the thread cos na UK I dey. Anyways, I am not surprised, those guys can be funny at times.

They replied that "it's possible", not that it's applicable. So far no official statement regarding 6 months BA in Nigeria. I told people here how 3 persons I know got bounced from January till now but some were still arguing. If there's one thing Germany will not break for you, it's the law.

Thanks for the input bro. If that's true, then it must be the preference of the German embassy in Nigeria, not that it is impossible in other countries. At least I know of a Kenyan who secured the 6 months Chancenkarte visa from Nairobi, but it's all good.

Stop saying they're contradicting themselves. There's no mention of 6 months BA even on the consular portal. Also, every Consulate in the world in independent of the other. The decisions of Ghana/Senegal's consulate is totally exclusive of that of Nigeria.
