Ọmọ. I'm alarmed to even imagine that he even mean some of these things he's saying. Like the guy didn't know the kind of tension that was in the air in that 2015.
There was no tension or anti-PDP energy where I was. And honestly, you too dey fear. Nothing will happen. If Tinubu cancels elections or rigs them in broad daylight today, the worst that’ll happen is a few protests, maybe some lives lost, and that’s it. It’ll all die down. He’ll crush anyone that tries anything funny.

The only time something serious happens is when you fail to carry the real power players and security chiefs along. Jonathan was just a coward, simple.

Nigeria has always been bad. There was no time we actually sat down over drinks and thanked God about how Nigeria was good. It's not true

People actually wanted change from PDP. People were tired. So yes, PDP losing as at 2015 was obviously going to happen.

The main question is how these same people saw where Buhari was heading, and overwhelming voted for him in 2019. And that was when we lost it. Infact, Buhari did more damage in the last 4 years, than in the previous one.

This above is true if you are honest with yourself, the people still view the next govt as being likely worse than the previous
The ones who governed before and lost political power will posture themselves to be the solution to the problems they didnt solve the last time they were in power
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ellexy: 2:48pm On Jul 03, 2025
The key in booting out Jonathan was Attahiru Jega who seemed compromised at the time and Jonathan trusted him. This current coalition can try but with Mahmood Yakubu still the head of INEC, Tinubu losing in 2027 will be a miracle.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Jonathan did not vote himself out of office. You people failed yourselves. Abi which kind abdication of responsibility be this? grin
Eh naw when doing the right thing becomes perceived as being weak, we then wonder why our politicians are ruthless.

The chances of the coalition depends on who they want to present as president

No need to dey window dress, we know 2 of them Atiku and Obi want to be presidential candidate. The coalition is about who will get the ticket and how the other part will react to it.

If Atiku gets the ticket, will Obi agree to partner with him on the coalition or move away
If Obi gets the ticket will Atiku agree to partner with him or break away
That is the most important question for the entire coalition

For now, Most of the coalition are Northrners, Will they be Okay with it if Atiku does not win the ticket and fully support Obi

Unlike in the days of APC, It was clear that it was a coalition to give Buhari the platform to be president

If he moves away then its just 2023 PDP primaries reloaded

I stand with the coalition. This comes at a price of my ideological principles.

I became obidient because I hungered for a people-led political revolution that would sweep out the old guard and usher in a new administration of the people, for the people and by the people. Enough of old men robbing is in broad daylight while we hopelessly watched on but it seems that dream has become utterly fanciful.

I am too angry with Peter obi. He thoroughly mismanaged the obidient movement, he has proven to be an ineffectual leader of men and politician, a gross inability to inspire followership. The failings of the labor party rests squarely on obi's shoulder. Better politicians would have grown that movement to be a political power house but what you have is everyone who once genuinely believed in him leaving him one by one. He offers no pathway forward. Yes, he's a man of integrity, yes, he's a brilliant technocrat but you must also be a brilliant politician too to get you to where you can apply your knowledge for the country.

I align with the coalition because I am desperate for the APC to leave power. We are at the brink of a one party state, the same way we feared the total domination of PDP is the same situation arising. I hope the APC is pushed out by the masses so that the leaders would always know that our voices matter.

As it is right now, there is lawless impunity by our leaders because they feel that we do not matter. I hope that changes and I enjoin you all to support the coalition on that basis.

Tinubu that didn't lose Election as the only opposition Governor in southwest during a power drunk OBJ era, will lose a Presidential Election he will oversee? Make una dey give unaselves hope dey go, me don accept fate say Thiefnufu will be President for 8years (unless death happens) and handover to his preferred candidate in 2031 (whoever that person would be).

Maybe this is why Kwankwaso is joining APC, some report say Thiefnufu will ditch Shettima and choose Kwankwaso as his Vice-President in 2027...
These are my exact sentiments

How can you stand with the coalition when both presidential candidates could not solve in house issues in their respective parties??

Abi isn't that why you are angry with Obi 😁?

The sweet thing about the coalition is that no one will be posing as a saint anymore and claiming some are structure of criminality

We wont be hearing you scream New Nigeria is Possible while standing beside David Mark(Senate President for several years) Atiku(VP for 8yrs), El Rufai Amaechi Aregbe, Obi (2 term governors). Obi obviously knows he might end up as VP. Atiku left a well structured PDP for this. He obviously didn't do that, out of ignorance.

Atiku left PDP because Wike don hijack the party from him and he cannot realize his ambitions. You think Obi will agree to be Atikus VP if he does, will his supporters follow him as well?

I also think the best ticket to challenge Tinubu is Atiku-Obi. It was true in 2023 and still true in 2027

Flesh and blood didn't reveal this you. Weakling Gej refused to do the needful despite information and advise from top echelon of the party then. Nigerians are paying the price for Gej's weakness today.

There's only two options in 2027; APC and ADC.

Let's assume that all parties keep their figures from 2023. Atiku only needs 50% of Obi's supporters to win.

I strongly believe that everyone already knows where he stands. Obi and Atiku already know where they stand.

Spy360:
This your 'good advice' is not needed.

Already Peter Obi is not desperate to be president.

Atiku is a failed project and he cannot use Peter Obi to launder his image or political career.

If the three candidates return for the next election as the majority contenders, Atiku will be completely lost.

It's either Tinubu wins again through his usual rigging machinery or Peter Obi wins free and fair.
