it is very, very obvious that APC is jittery. I thought they said that nothing can shake APC. but unfortunately, online insults, rantings can't save apc, nigerians cant wait for the next general elections

I disagree, there is enough energy amongst younger Nigerians to make the country better.

Sadly, the old cargo politicians wouldn't let them through.
Energy don't make a country better, vision and implementation does.
The average Nigerian youth is only good at talking.
Place the average Nigerian youth in charge of a society or organization and tell them to run it and you will see them handling it worse than politicians, talking is not enough.
Nigerian youths complain because they are affected, even the so called Obidents are like that, one made a comment like that here few weeks ago.

you should be asking,

what is Tinubu's achievement so far
Since hatred can't allow you to see what Tinubu is doing right. Tell us what your new coalition under will do different and tell us what each of them that you believe will be president among them have done before that we can point to. To me, the coalition lacks direction, El-rufai had told Nigeria that the reason he wants coalition is to chase the evil in Aso rock he helped to install.

So, no better objective. Only for personal ego because he was denied food. It surprises me how the same El-rufai that obidients called terrorist, southern Kaduna killer, religion bigot etc have now been forgiven and become hero among obidients now just because of hatred of the man in Aso rock. Well, no vacancy in Aso rock till 2031, coalition is LP part2 labouring in vain for ADC

Funny how you’re asking what the coalition wants to do differently as if Tinubu’s policies are some kind of gold standard.

First, no one is saying we must return to subsidy or a pegged naira. But removing subsidy without a plan, or floating the naira into freefall without safety nets, is not “reform” , it’s recklessness. Nigerians aren’t hungry because the policies are bold; they’re hungry because they’re badly implemented.

Second, a coalition is not a magic trick, it’s how democracies work. Multiple voices come together to create alternative leadership. And unlike Tinubu’s camp, which ran on empty boastful Emilokan slogans and ethnic baiting, some of us actually want to hear ideas

So before you mock the coalition for not publishing a 100-page manifesto in its first week, maybe ask why after two years in office, Tinubu still can’t offer Nigerians a clear economic roadmap, just vibes and volatility.

You want “different”? How about:

Competence over cronies in appointments?

A currency policy that doesn’t swing daily like a mood ring?

Reform that considers the people first before IMF applause?

Coalitions aren’t perfect, but let’s not act like we’re comparing vision to vision here. What we have now isn’t vision, it’s trial and error with over 200 million lives.
"Reform that considers the people first over IMF applause."

I could hug you for saying that.

So perfectly said.

Schools fees were astronomically increased under this administration therefore the student loan thing amounts to nothing. The government simply took with one hand and then with the other hand gave and took.

In essence, the coalition has no plan.

In any setting when I say someone is wrong and claim to be better, what I do I prefer feasible solutions to the existing problems.
Coalition is not doing that, the fact that those supporting the coalition don't even want such questions asked is the height of it.
Coalition is another failed project waiting to land crash.
It's not even up to one week yet and you expect people who came from different directions to have all agreed on a plan and written it down and published it?

Be serious. It's one step at a time.

When the same El Rufai was campaigning vigorously for BAT, insisting that the presidency must come to the South, taking PMB to court over naira confiscation etc, he was okay right? We all saw BAT publicly beg him to serve in his govt.

Suddenly he is now the most evil man on Earth right?

The coalition is just finding its feet. The issue of manifesto will be settled in due course.

That said, kicking out bat is a necessity at this point. You cannot arrogantly emasculate the masses and think you can ride roughshod over them without consequences.

Except the students' loans which I give bat full credit, even though it has its flaws, bat has not only woefully underperformed, he has been excessively arrogant about his underperformance.

So, kicking bat out in 2027 is not simply about removing him, it is also about sending a strong message to whomever becomes president... if you chose to increase the burden on the masses, then be ready to pack your bags at the next elections.

Nigerians will no longer be taken for granted.

Do they want to reinstate the fuel subsidies?

Do they want to end the floating of the naira?

What exactly do they want to do that is fundamentally different from what Tinubu is doing?

I've never seen this kind of situation where we keep hearing about 'coalition, coalition', with not a single word on their policy agenda.

And yet everyone just goes along with it.

It's so unfortunate.
It is not about removing the subsidy, it is about transparency in the process.

You are kicking out BAT by bringing people like Atiku, Melaye, El Rufai, Oyegun and David Mark in. Let's even not mention Peter Obi (oops I did). You must be joking.

Kíck President Tinubu out by all means but at least look to replace him and his party with people that don't have baggage and there are lots of them around.

This Coalition only have one manifesto, to make Atiku president.

I think I will give Tinubu a C right now.

His performance has been disappointing especially considering all the promises

The problem is many people put themselves on a side either they are for him or they hate him

That is not helpful

The question asked which you have not addressed is what will the coalition do differently

Let us take Atiku specifically

Atiku and Tinubu operate in exactly the same way they have sources of wealth that are believed to be from government whether corrupt or borderline corrupt and they believe in the power of money to achieve their way

What would Atiku do differently in 2027

Talking about removing subsidy without cushion is neither here nor there
Is Atiku going to put the subsidy back go and buy cushion and then remove is in a more comfortable way

You mention cronies

Is Atiku not a beneficiary of cronyism. Which politician is not? Even during Buhari's 1st term Atiku benefitted from appointments here and there

What specifically will Atiku do in 2027 that will change lives of Nigerians and why should we believe he has the capacity to do that

Let us leave story about cushion and crony
Again you mention currency policy swing ? Can you clarify what you are talking about?

The idea of anything but Tinubu is sentimental driven by emotion. I understand it and people are entitled to that but let us not package that as some kind of intellectual epiphany

There is no reason AT THIS TIME for a logical person to expect anything meaningful from an 80 year old Atiku in 2027

Any enterprise whether you call it coalition or anything else that has the objective of presenting Atiku Abubakar in 2027 is a scam.

There are many Nigerians that can do better than what we have but we will not support them we prefer concepts like North South rotation and Atiku supported that when it was time to remove Jonathan

So right now It is the Turn of the South that is the game we understand in Nigeria

You see, this is the problem we have in this country. A very simple question I asked - What is the agenda of the ‘coalition’, and this man starts to speak grammar.

Simple question!

Mba. It’s to use grammar to confuse his father he knows.

Tinubu removed subsidies without a plan?

They asked the president that question at a press meeting a few months ago, and he responded “what plan?” “Show me a plan!” “It doesn’t matter how you cut it or slice it, we’ll still be paying what we can’t afford to pay!” Nigeria was borrowing 10 billion dollars a year to pay for fuel subsidies!

In fact there’s been talk that the subsidies are not actually fully removed, so as to not increase suffering. So what else can he do?

Spare us the Hypocrisy

Your problem is that you hate Tinubu and have always done. Even before he came in to office you have been spewing hatred

Do not pretend that you are driven by objectivity or altruism
Your motivation is ANYTHING BUT TINUBU

Well some of us are not his fans either but we also take the position

ANYTHING BUT ATIKU or OBI

EVEN IF THAT MEANS TINUBU

WHOM I WILL SCORE 50%

He has done well in removing the subsidy and floating the Naira
He has done well in Abuja
He has done well with Roads
He has done well with Student loan
He has done well with Aviation
He has done well in improving passport application efficiency
He has done well to introduce a consumer credit scheme

He has failed in security
He has failed in Food security
He has failed in leading by example in a time of sacrifice and curbing waste of the political class
He has not done well in foreign policy or Trade

That is objective assessment with areas for him to improve on

ivandragon:
Lol...

This is the BAT strategy...

Tax the populace to within an inch of their lives.

Carry out 2 or 3 very visible projects & then bombard the media space with 'achievements'...
ivandragon:
It is laughable how BAT has suddenly turned to a wailer.

When punishing policies were being implemented by PMB, he kept mute.

Now that the policy is affecting his selfish ambition, he remembers the masses.

When the bullion saga was on, BATasked, '... is it your money?'

Well, now the question is why is BAT crying over other people's money issues? Is it his money?
