Obidients are in this mess because they actually convinced themselves Peter Obi was some kind of saint, like he wasn’t cut from the same dirty cloth as the rest of them.

There are two types of Obidients.

First, the delusional ones. These ones move like a cult. Say one bad thing about Obi and they’ll hunt you like you insulted their ancestor. If you’re spotted vibing with someone outside their echo chamber, they’ll label you a sellout. In their eyes, Obi is the Messiah, flawless and untouchable.

Then there’s the second group, the rational ones. Small in number, but they see things clearly. They know Obi isn’t any different from the usual suspects. Just another smooth-talking politician in native wear, playing the same rigged game.
The ones in the first group will spin another yarn to convince themselves that Obi is still a saint and knows what is best

Any coalition without Peter Obi as the candidate is bound to fail.

I am not against coalition but if they don't hide their ambitions and make PO the flag bearer it's an action in futility
I will quote this post and remind you of how much you will change mouth when Obi does not get the ticket

Lol, even before the election people already smelled a rat and were advising Gej to remove jega. One of such people was fayose.
There was a lot Gej could've done if he wasn't weak. With the way you keep defending Gej, hope you aren't like him oh. grin
E be like we go tie you flog that spirit of weakness cormot your body. grin
There's no doubt that Jonathan was actually weak, but in fairness, there was little he could do under the 2015 election circumstances. Even someone as audacious as Babangida, when he realized the presidency seat had become too hot to sit on, facing mounting opposition from various regions and sensing that his life was at risk, then he chose to Maradona his way out by saying, "I step aside." Honestly, how many heads of state in world history have ever willingly stepped aside like that?
If GEJ had tried to cling to power like some desperate politicians, many lives could have been lost, and his own life might not have been safe either, remember what happened to Abacha?

Yes this is what I said

The interest groups in ADC, Atiku wants to be president as soon as yesterday. If Atiku miss 2027, it might be the end for him
Obi wants to to President immediately in 2027 cos if he miss 2027 next chance is 2039
Younger Northerners with a future like ElRufai want to position themselves for the next 4yrs to be a contestant. If Atiku wins then they wait for 16yrs, if Obi wins they wait for 8yrs
Exactly.

Yes he is going to pull the Moslem-Moslem ticket, The reason is that there is no Northern Xtian with enough clout to win votes in the North

The APC people have seen that Shetimma does not wield that much power in the NE an was used to mop the floor last time by Atiku winning 5 of 6 states

They might just drop Shetimma for someone who makes them competitive in the NW. Rabiu whether you like him or North has the most populous Kano state on lockdown flogging both APC -Ganduje an Atiku there without any extra FG support, with FG support maybe he can spread his influence to more NW states

Tinubu cannot allow Atiku to enjoy the NW votes unchallenged since he will be losing the SE to the coalition as well

The SS is where the battle will be and Tinubus gambit will be that these places are no longer PDP, They do not have a stake in either side (Not ADC and not APC) so there will be voters apathy which means the State governors get to decide the winners.

The NC this time will be split equally the more Hausa parts like Niger and Nasarawa going with Atiku, while Kwara Kogi go with Tinubu
Plateau and Benue beef with Fulani(Atiku) or beef with Moslems(Tinubu) which one will be worse
If we're going solely off base permutations, the best Tinubu can hope for in the SS will be a split.
The goal will be to deprive Atiku/Obi of a clean sweep.
Akwa Ibom and Rivers are his most promising. With Obi on the ticket, Delta, Edo, and Bayelsa are out of reach.

In the MB, it'll as well be a split at best. He should take Kwara and Kogi. But Plateau and Benue will take an Obi ticket over Tinubu.

It may end up being a contest of inches.
He can't afford a split in the NW whatever happens. That's his bulwark.
Atiku came within 300K of him in the NW in 2023. That cannot happen in 2027 or Tinubu will lose reelection.

Why do you think the coalition would fail without Obi as the flag bearer?
Which other politician do you think is sincerely interested in making this country work?

Tinubu may be the worst but the rest are not far behind. I mean someone like Atiku who is just too desperate and will definitely become nonchalant like Buhari once he achieves his dream.

It is strange. But I was happy to see Nasir El-Rufai recognising his elder, our leader Atiku Abubakar—giving him due respect and all that. But yes, it’s strange. It’s unbelievable what people can do for power. They can come back and eat their words. They can retrace their steps. Strange bedfellows—absolutely. But let me say this: the fact that a coalition succeeded in defeating a sitting government once might be the exact reason it could fail this time.

Don't vouch for any politician in Naija, especially the one that swore he would never leave APGA, but he did.

Red flags aplenty but you don't want to see them.

The funny thing with this your saint thing is that the word has only been used by non Obedients.

I doubt it there's any Obidient that considers Obi a saint. What we say about him is that he is the most credible person amongst all the known politicians we have today and even non Obedients know this. That is why they can't remove saint from Obi's name

Ask again because what the person you mentioned was Obi.

The reason Obinmade that promise was because of the fear of Anambra people that he would join the then ruling party during his second tenure. It's similar to Fubara promising Rivers people that he won't join APC.

The fact remains that he left APGA.

What one can deduce is that he is not a man of his words and he only says what people want to hear and not what is practicable. That's why many may not trust his 'one term' proposal in ADC. He is deceptive.

So, you believe he can deliver on his promise to stabilise the country within two years and make it work within a single term in office? Is that correct, or do you have other reasons for choosing him?

Everybody is shouting “Let’s unite and take back Nigeria.”
The noise is loud. The outrage? Clear.

But you see ehn… when you look past the press conferences, the hashtags, the handshakes… one question still dey remain:
Unite for what exactly?

Is this about Us/Nigerias, or just about power?

Because some of the same people that sank this country are suddenly singing redemption songs.

Coalitions are forming, but let’s not pretend that every alliance is progress.
Sometimes, it’s just old wolves in new agbada.

Are they fighting for you, or fighting to sit where their enemies used to sit?

Are they shouting “enough is enough” because they’ve changed…
Or because they’re no longer the ones benefitting?

We don’t just need new names.
We need new values, new visions, and people with the guts to live by them.
2027 is not about revenge. It’s about rescue.

Let’s not trade one oppressor for another with nicer grammar.
Let’s ask the hard questions now, before our dreams of a better Nigeria is again snatched from us.

......I shared for a purpose, and the purpose is damn clear. Its simply a clear message to Obidients on this board that they should stop gaslighting theirselves like El-Rufai, Malami, Mark and even Peter Obi indeed form the Coaltion to rescue what is already being rescuing rather than to desperately grab power for their selfish sakes.

....and Yes! If they decamp to APC, definitely gonna rejoice coz Politics is always a game, especially a game of numbers.

Datti: I remember everything between El-Rufai and many other leaders whom he now goes and kneels down before to greet again. I'm gasping for air; I don't understand what is going on.

There are people who have been in government for 24 years, and they've been out for only 2 years, yet they are crying and shouting that we must throw this government out.

.....honestly you are right, it doesn't but it ain't shared cos it resonates with my online political personality as you said.

But......it gets a lot to do with those proving "SAINT". The same Structure of Criminality they condemned for months, its same Structure they are embracing and celebrating now.

I have never preached that APC is saint, nope! Politics is a game to me, so it needs to be played well to get the wins.

I strongly believe PBAT is getting it right, though the pains are still there for the masses but it won't last forever cos we are really closer to the light than before.

You may disagree with my political stance but wanting Nigeria to exit doom to glory remains my main target and I still believe PBAT can make it happen.

When the chiefs are down and it’s time for primaries, what type of primaries is Atiku going to do with an Amaechi? You know how Atiku does primaries, mercilessly. In Port Harcourt, I remember dollars flying.

The narrative that they have sold out to Nigerians is that the only way to defeat Tinubu or the APC is through a coalition, that is wrong. A clean political party fielding the right candidate can beat the APC hands down, even in the presence of a coalition.
