The States are beginning to embark on gigantic projects due to the enhanced availability of funds coming from the removal of petrol subsidy.

Kogi State, for instance, arguably one of the poorest states in Nigeria, has drastically reduced its debts.

The State Governors can testify to the fact that their monthly FAAC allocations have tripled.

If only the States and local governments could channel some of these huge sums to the welfare of their people, perhaps Tinubu wouldn't be the prime target of wanton criticisms.

without being told, you know if Lagos want to go into aviation they will dwaf every other states in the business. But Lagos doesn't chase clout, they go for what will benefit all, like the ferry , rail and BRT system. Maybe you don't know Lagos State is the only state that doesn't have a state owned football club, male or female. Lagos doesn't engage in jamborees, but focused in what is needful for the teeming populace.

That's the thought that came to my mind when I saw the heading. Lagos is more than capable to have such an investment..anyway, let's reflect on Nigeria air under Buhari and Haji Sirika the aviation minister for Buhari......if Enugu could do it without faking aircraft and painted it I'm Nigeria colour to deceive a whole nation......Buhari was a dunce and that Sirika is a devil and a corrupt venim....terrible human being....both of them

This is their new cash cow, from ibom Air, to cally air, Enugu Air, we will soon see even Edo Air. In as much as the intentions are good, mismanagement of state resources will crumble the whole thing and render it counter productive. Well after each governor's tenure Efcc must catch someone especially when you are in the opposition.
Let me add that no state governor should buy refurbished aircraft for us oh.
Some of you guys just love complaining about the government. Nothing the government do will make you guys happy.

Why's Ibom Air still standing? The governors creating this airlines have learnt mistakes from the past airlines which collapsed.

Misplaced priority, another avenue to steal.

What is it with these governors that can't provide good roads and potable water building airports that 99% of their people will not be able to use.

Re: Enugu Air Launches On Monday, July 7 by Ashirioluwa: 3:19am On Jul 04, 2025
With the way Nigeria is, no state government can run an airline business successfully.

You are just an enemy of progress! Ibom Air last year alone, generated N96 billion in revenue. Do you know how many people that are employed in Ibom Air who are able to earn a living and take care of their families? Its people like you that prefer a Governor to put the money in the bank where only him will benefit with nothing on ground for other citizens to benefit.

Always applaud good steps and initiatives once you see them, not clap for people with zero idea other than saying they save money. Is governance about saving money or improving the lives of people?

Leave Lagos please, it’s not competition. When we launched the blue line and redline, no one asked for other states to compete. Everyone should grow at their own pace. The major thing here is for states to grow and remain idle or dependent on the central government.

You are just a pessimist. Just congratulate Enugu government first and wait on the sidelines to know whether it will crumble or mismanaged or not.
