I Want To Japa With A Budget Of 20m, Need Suggestions!! by PersonalDiary(op): 9:13pm On Jul 03, 2025
Hy Fellow Nigerians,

I think I have accomplished all my missions in Nigeria and it's time for a new chapter. But I still have some bottlenecks to settle before making the best decision.

I'm late twenties.A Bsc holder. Here are my issues at the moment.

1. The right country to choose.
2. The right skill
3. In a serious relationship

My target countries are Australia & Canada but open to any European country( Schengen country) that would be good to start life as a family person and have an easier route to Permanent Residence or citizenship.

I'm a crypto trader and I don't think it's something that's viable overseas. Have been trying to learn Cyber security but I'm.not consistent with it. But would be open to learn any other skill that would ensure I settle properly and take care of myself and family.

On the last note, I'm in a serious relationship for the past 6 months and contemplating on getting married first before moving or moving first before adding any more load to my burden.

My friends advised me to end everything and save my head first because it won't be easy moving in as a spouse in a new country.

To be honest, I need to make a fast decision before the end of this year as everything seems to no longer move on my side at the moment since late last year, and I don't want to lose my savings before making the right decisions.

Looking forward to your valuable contributions why I read and make the most important decisions of my life at the moment.

Will you go thru the study route

If yes you can go thru diploma .. for Canada

Other countries for work visa include Austria, Switzerland too

Just have it at the back of your mind that you need to be determined and see yourself leaving this country for good. Do not let anyone or anything hold you back

I encourage you 100% to make the move - it's a heroic step trying to escape the challenges here. Nigeria's future is bleak and now's the right time to take that decision. Listen, man, prioritize yourself for now. Focus on finding a safe haven before thinking about settling down. Marriage is a significant commitment that requires stability, and it's crucial to secure your future first.

When choosing between Canada and Australia for migration, consider factors like PR processing time, job opportunities, cost of living, and healthcare. Canada offers faster PR processing (6-9 months) and easier qualification, while Australia's process is more complicated and requires higher points.

Canada's job market is strong, with high demand for skilled trades, IT, and healthcare, and more job openings. Australia offers higher average salaries, especially in trades and specific industries, but job availability depends on the sector.

Canada's cost of living is generally more affordable, with lower housing and grocery costs, while Australia's major cities are more expensive. Both countries have strong healthcare systems, but Canada's public healthcare is free for permanent residents.

If you're considering studying in Canada, you may be eligible for fully funded admission or partial scholarships. If you receive a partial scholarship, you can apply for MPower financing to cover the remaining costs.

I encourage you to explore education opportunities in Canada, as securing a scholarship or admission can be a great stepping stone to PR. Go through the education route, and may you find the best opportunities for your future.

Only flight ticket to Australia is above 4m. Canada you need travel history as getting visas now is not easy.
I'll suggest you go to the under-listed countries
1. Finland (Study route)
2. Belgium
3. France
4. Netherlands
And other shengen countries.
5. Japan / China/ south Korea

Getting a visa interview date, and passing the 1 minute interview is hell. I will advise him to go to the Netherlands. Getting a green card in the US now is like passing through the eye of a needle.

Re: I Want To Japa With A Budget Of 20m, Need Suggestions!! by Shawarmagirl: 3:27pm On Jul 04, 2025
My candid advice are:
1. Relocate to Australia
2. Marry your fiance on a low key, do just court wedding. If you can't go with her now, she will join you later. That will give you a sense of belonging.
3. When you get to any country of your choice, do some certification training on the skills you want to learn.

Note: there is no woman abroad you will marry when you come. Don't allow anybody deceive you. Everybody dey hustle.

I join hubby 1year later after he moved to the UK. Now we are good.

Leave that thing called Nigeria and Japa asap. Trust me you will never regret leaving Nigeria.
