The problem is that the world has all become about looking for what to counter.
People go to school and pay money for years, and after that enter the market to look for jobs and struggle life for success.
People pay hundreds of thousands to learn some career where they assist the tutor to do their business.
People pay up to half a million to learn some skills in tech for months and years.
But it's a crime and slavery to learn a business until you're a guru in the business under the mentorship of an Oga in apprenticeship.
I learnt business under a man as a graduate for 2 years without settlement agreement because I needed the knowledge. And after it he settled me from his Igbo man mindset with less than half a million and goods that I will sell to return.
It's not slavery, it's a choice. If you don't want to learn under someone till you've grown to start from somewhere, go to school and pay tuition fee, graduate and look for job. Else go find a menial job that will accommodate your qualifications.
We are killing the apprenticeship system with greed for money instead of knowledge of the business under someone.

The Nwa boy scheme should be remodelled. Seven years is too long to undergo apprenticeship, especially when the settlement is terribly low. How many phones or accessories would 1m buy for a start-up phone retail store?
