No need to japa, look for a business to do.

Abroad is not abroad anymore
See them, na them be this!!!! Bad belle with negative advice. Because you don’t have money to japa don’t encourage people to back off from it.

What's the root cause of this japa syndrome?

Is it a kind of blind urge or simply sheer madness?

Having the sum of N20m in your bank account in Nigeria could give you and your family the good life if properly managed.

It's not always green on the other side!

One often hear of success stories of many Nigerians abroad but, mute on many who are languishing in penury and even in jail.

But for shame, many would want to japada.

Nigeria is a land flowing with milk and honey if you can think outside of the box.

Besides, East, West, North and South, home remains the best.

If all man japa finish, who go remain for Nigeria?

Nigeria na we own and na we go make am great!

We die here!

@hotseat
If all man japa finish, who go remain for Nigeria? I guess you are your family that see the milk and honey on this land flowing with blood.

Please don’t listen to them ooooo if you have the money japa japa japa japa japa japa japa japa japa japa japa japa.

Continue to play. I paid all my whole fees from Nigeria with the savings I had. My tuition fees for the two years was higher than what the op is holding in dollars. I also paid a years worth of rent. I learnt the language of the country I was going to. I had gathered work experience and knowledge in Nigeria and even with all this I saw hell. The op is travelling without any skills. What is crypto trading and he only has 13000 usd and he’s being advised to go to places like Canada, USA and co. Places where a month of rent is nothing less than 1000 usd a month. I will always advise anyone to leave Nigeria but if you aren’t prepared you are better off in Nigeria.
The original poster was seeking helpful suggestions, but your first comment came off as discouraging. Given your knowledge and experience with japa-related matters, I expected something more constructive. There are numerous posts here of people securing full-ride scholarships to countries like Canada, the U.S., and others, even without having up to $2,000 in their account, something I'm sure you're aware of. A more helpful approach would have been to recommend that he explore similar scholarship routes, especially since his budget could be sufficient for that path.

Will you go thru the study route

If yes you can go thru diploma .. for Canada

Other countries for work visa include Austria, Switzerland too

Just have it at the back of your mind that you need to be determined and see yourself leaving this country for good. Do not let anyone or anything hold you back
Canada when no job. Wrong timing....

I agree with you absolutely. It's hard for me to see any wisdom in 'japa' if somebody has built a solid financial foundation for himself and has been able to legitimately make up to 20 million Naira right here in Nigeria and is capable of making more. What kind of comfortable life and paradise can you not create in Nigeria with that level of money making capacity? The japa thing just doesn't make any sense.

The guy is even sounding like he made the money by some accident and may exhaust it any moment from now if he does not japa fast
Where did he write that he "has built a solid financial foundation for himself"??

My candid advice are:
1. Relocate to Australia
2. Marry your fiance on a low key, do just court wedding. If you can't go with her now, she will join you later. That will give you a sense of belonging.
3. When you get to any country of your choice, do some certification training on the skills you want to learn.

Note: there is no woman abroad you will marry when you come. Don't allow anybody deceive you. Everybody dey hustle.

I join hubby 1year later after he moved to the UK. Now we are good.

Leave that thing called Nigeria and Japa asap. Trust me you will never regret leaving Nigeria.
1 year ke?

I did not say 'he has built' I said 'if somebody has built'. The challenge is for him to build the foundation because that's what he will ultimately have to do wherever he runs to

True there are scholarships but what happens after. Scholarship to a good top university abroad now doesn’t guarantee anything. My best advice to op is to keep on saving. Learn a good skill and get experience before Nigeria and start researching where he can go cause it’s not also funny abroad.

South Africa offers one an opportunity for a good life in Africa. Aside from Nigeria, it's the best country with lots of economic opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa. Also, for educational reasons, it has really good schools.

I see Austria, Switzerland and Finland being recommended. These our comedians sef 🤣🤣

Depending on the type of goods, is that enough to fill half of 20 ft container?

I don't know about 20 ft container but i know it'll go a long way in terms of buying goods and starting the importation. For me, it's better than spending all that money, only to start doing black jobs overseas.

So what kind of goods would you start with if you had a similar amount of money? And in which region in Nigeria would you sell them?

I think the kind of "enjoyment" here matters, the level of contentment by the said individual. As for infrastructure, replicating a similar infrastructure in Nigeria is more expensive as you are doing what the government ought to have done. But how would someone enjoy abroad without money? Enjoyment is tied to having money o

My own issue is safety. I live a very boring life. grin

There's need for more research on this but from the top of my head, Men's clothing, phone accessories and motor spare parts are goods that are lucrative and needed in all parts of Nigeria.

Ain’t no way.
We share the same thought. If you are able ro save #20 million here in Nigeria, why go into slavery abroad.

You can double or triple your #20million in 6months if you import even marches, pen, toothpicks from China.

First of all, i feel you are not even ready to take the next step.

There are things i didn't expect in your write up, if you are really ready to japa.

When you're ready, you should be able to know which country you want to go to and should have made a research about that country, join Facebook groups of people in that country and ask questions from people living there and people who just arrived.

Nobody should be telling you which country to go because your destiny is in your own hands also you make a choice based on who you are and skills you have achieved.

Go and make your research and stop consuming random answers especially from people who don't even own a passport let alone visit the airport.

Na this step I take and am living fine with no regrets.
Boss , please don't be offended,am a BSC holder and also a skilled excavator operator,am planning of moving to Australia through work visa, your advice would be appreciated
Thanks
