I think it is high time that those in the entertainment industry realize that their careers are not forever. They need to start preparing for the future. All of those in my era who were salivating over Sharon Stone after Basic Instinct...how many movies has she participated in recently? Her time don reign pass and younger blood has taken over. Even during active years, income is not steady. You can make a huge amount in one film, and the next one you are earning 25% of that. The gap between movies can even be as long as 2 years. Once you start aging, the kind of roles you will be screened for will automatically change. Even an investment of N800,000 in gold in 2013 would be worth N17million today.
