1️⃣ You’re so quick to scream “suspend her!” yet you completely ignore the simple fact that it is the court, not the Senate, that ruled on this matter — and the same court never found her guilty of lying about the Senate President. If you actually cared about truth, you’d know she was asked to apologize to the court, not to your fragile senators.

2️⃣ What exactly is “a disgrace”? A citizen daring to challenge questionable power? Or a rubber-stamp Senate that panics when someone dares to expose their dirty dealings? If she had no proof, why is the establishment so desperate to silence her instead of disproving her claims with facts?

3️⃣ Let’s be honest — you want her punished because you can’t handle a dissenting voice. That’s cowardice, not patriotism. A functioning democracy needs bold citizens who call out rot — not spineless cheerleaders begging for suspensions to protect political overlords.

4️⃣ Next time you feel the urge to play attack dog for politicians, ask yourself: are you defending Nigeria’s interests — or just your favourite politician’s fragile ego?

Why are there two threads to this topic. One was closed so that Nairalanders would not be able to comment and make clarifications. This is the exactic tactic deployed by the one who cares about public opinion instead of showing evidence. In essence, the thread is a paid advert by Natasha.

The court will not meddle with pure political or Senate procedural matters.

In the issue of constitutional violation, breach of law or due process and issues involving individuals' right are handled and judged by the court. The rulling of the court will be binding to National Assembly.

The Senate does not have total or absolute power.

Yes you are right. If the Senate had stepped out of its own code of conduct to sanction Madam Natasha, the court can rule them out of order because there is no legal basis for that.

But if the regulation is duly agreed and documented in the Senate's stating rules or code of conduct, it is binding on all legislators and the court cannot rule against it.

The principle of separation of powers is duly enshrined in the Nigerian constitution and by its provision, the legislature, just like the judiciary and the Executive arms of government, is self regulating.

then also the court can overrule them is it runs contrary to the principle of democracy, the Senate only have power to suspend for few months due to her elected office. She has a duty to those who vote her into that office..... Dont also forget the principle of check and balances.

i totally agree with your position
