One chance is hard to checkmate.... Unless you totally prevent.... In which Uber and the rest have done well.... But most of you just wanna cheap rides... If you want to follow cheap means of transportation then go designated bus park.... It's total swwwwupidity and ooolishness to enter any random car just because you think it's going your way.... It's disgusting and annoying that people never learn and throw caution to the wind

Folk/comrades. Learn self defense. I went to a police station in Ikorodu area and the police woman that attended to me said I should pay a sum of seven thousand for counter fee. Security is just your creator. Be wise!!!

Lagos is too porous, killers and demons from other states have infiltrated Lagos. Lagos should start 'operation identify yourself'

Nigerians always report serious crimes to police, it helps leave a trail, anything you can remember plate number, type of vehicle or looks, this can help police in tracking the violent criminals.

In Lagos "THERE'S NO BUS OR CAB" that's goes from Gbagada to Badagry....
Either she's new in Lagos and the driver wants to run a quick one on her or she is telling a lie....
She's probably referring to a private vehicle.

Stop that bro
May we not be unfortunate o.
I'm a Lagosian and I've lived almost all my life in Lagos so I can tell you that the story probability of being truth is on the high side.
Those boys kills o.
My friend had a similar experience but thank God he's alive and still blows his blunt steady.

Well.. it might be true … But if they want to kill you for real.. you will be dead already… They are just petty thieves…..The statement “He stopped between Gbagada and Charlie Boy. He asked the other man why he picked me up, and the man said they picked me because they wanted to kill me.” is just to make her panic… Na petty thief dem be..

The girl story no straight..I grew up in oworo and you can never see a cab going to badagry from oworo, even the buses will call Mile 2 and that’s the farthest..
esemes256:
I never knew that you can take cab at Iyana oworo.
I thought you can only take danfo bus.
Or is she referring to Uber or those other private car owners that pick up passengers randomly on the road?
I think it's the iyana oworo main park when coming from the island via 3rd mainland. Its a big park u can even get Ibadan there I think.

I wonder why Nigerians would rather kill eachother for rituals, one chance robbery, armed robbery, kidnapping rather than face the Government responsible for their predicament.
These ones are just cowards. When the see true activists like Sowore and co., they are quick to condemn them instead of joining forces with them, they would rather resort to attacking women, children, robberies etc.
These are weak people who look for easier ways of comfort than face their problems headlong.

Did you just learn the noun phrase "petty thieves" or you are actually ignorant like that?

Do you know who is called a petty thief? You should educate yourself more please. You have the potential in you, don't limit yourself to words you learnt on the street alone. Google is your friend.

For the sake of those who trust this forum as a way of adding knowledge, in criminal law, petty theft is not known to be a violent crime. A petty thief will steal your phone, wallet, a bottle of drink in a supermarket etc totally avoiding suspicion or confrontation. They are usually opportunistic thieves and try to steal without being noticed.

How can you call someone who assaulted, threatened death, threatened rape, attemped to suffocate, and "wiped her entire account" a petty thief? Are you really ignorant or you are one of them?
”i only use petty thieves” in the context of the headline. “They wanted to kill me”…

So easy to say. So simple, going by your words. So you do not know that just the threat alone has cost people their lives. Pray that you never encounter such evil people.

Please everyone, avoid all those kabukabu as much as possible, if not completely. Avoid them. Never board kabukabu anywhere in the country, no matter the circumstance. That route between Oworo and Mike 2 is high risk.
as a lagos born that has been my principle wherever I go.. I even prefer danfo to cab...if not that brt cannot reach everywhere in lagos, na brt I go dey enter...

This experience was so painful and sad, even though I believe she didn't tell the complete story because of societal stigma. Those evil men violated her,one reason they let her go,because she will be of no use for whatever they wanted to do.
Interesting take. How does violating her render her of no use for whatever they wanted to do?

What time did she enter the cab?
If i am boarding a cab, i must be the only passenger or else i will get down,
They usually stop along the way to pick up their gang members, only the driver will be in the cab at first to avoid suspicion.

I want to share a perspective that might seem unconventional, but it's worth considering. In many cases, issues with private cabs seem to stem from the passengers' own choices. We've noticed that when incidents are reported, the location is often mentioned, yet some individuals still choose to ignore clearly marked transit buses or designated pick-up areas and opt for unmarked or suspicious vehicles.

It's puzzling to see people prioritize their convenience over safety, only to later express outrage on social media when things go wrong. I recall a time while waiting for staff bus, it's a common sight, and people would openly lookout for unmarked vehicles because it's sleek and sometimes it's even tinted

Perhaps it's time to reflect on our own behaviors and choices when it comes to transportation. By being more mindful and responsible, we can reduce the risks associated with private cabs.
