For Mead case, I think it's the Coach preference and Chloe looks much better when she came on putting those Madrid esques crosses... De Donk don Jaapa since when Lyon ( Real Madrid of Female football) came through and it's been over 3 years sef...

England don't look ready for this tournament and their midfield of Walsh ( who has been bad for Chelsea) and Stanway and James ( just returning from ACL) were outplayed and overrun with Bronze looking like she past her prime... they may have a chance against The Orange who has been bad recently too save for today
Those Chelsea players are old and passed it except for James, Lucy bronze shouldn't be starting again she's like Kyle Walker
Since they won't survive the group that should give our girls time to rest before the new season

Leah was even heavily injured yesterday that her left thigh and back was covered in bandages... Mead has a torrid night too, her not tracking back really exposes Bronze weakness to Bacha and Baltimore....

Omo the way their midfield that I expected to dominate collapsed needs to be studied... I never saw Sarkina and Geyoro in my wildest dreams bullying Walsh, James and Stanway...

McAtee is 22 while Hutchinson is 21. Should I remind you Nwaneri is 18?

McAtee has been in the U21 setup since 2022. Hutchinson has been in the U21 since 2023. This is Nwaneri’s first involvement, I fact he joined in March of 2025. If anything, it speaks volume of his talent that he is pushing U21 guys because he should be playing U18.

Irrespective, you haven’t shown me how Madueke is better than Nwaneri. Madueke isn’t a starter at Chelsea, is he more creative? A better goal scorer/ finisher? Better ball technique? Better passer?

Is it because he is older? I honestly don’t see pound for pound, how Madueke is a more capable backup for Saka than Nwaneri.

Even when we compare their stats
Please don't bait into shading Ethan ( he is one of our own) angry grin grin...buh emotional attachment aside judging by the season he had last term, age wouldn't be a factor for putting him on the bench and also McAtee miss almost the entire season through injury last term and hasn't done enough over the past year to be putting him on the bench really.... The U21 Manager must have seen something...

I don't support Madueke move pennywise as it will affect other recruitment but he's not a bad player plus being part of England National setup shows he is not at U21_eish level ( and most of the fanbase is tired of the team is still growing excuses every year) and Ethan has more than stated his preference for AM position...

Viv is far from pasting her, she is still very not good but excellent and even bench Roord and Shaw last season when fit ( and note Shaw is all round better striker / player than Russo )...Viv main issues is her recurring injuries...

Her leaving is mainly due to Jonas and Arsenal not been able to afford Marionna and her...

No she didn't bench shaw
Shaw got injured but played 14 times and scored 11
While viv played 11 and scored 7
The issue she had with Jonas was because of mead(her partner) she wanted them to concentrate on football and they continue their stuff outside the club
I later got to know the team played huge role in sacking Jonas because they supported viv
I blame Jonas because he has no business in ladies sports

Not that tall like Big Jorg's heights... Am surprised he chooses Arsenal, he's much more of Real, Barca level ( both financially constraints mostly due to high wage bills)....

Once I made the decision to leave, I set my sights on Arsenal because I think their style of play is a good fit for me,” our new midfielder said in his first interview.
“It’s a young, highly motivated and ambitious team. They have shown their potential recently, and I believe the best is yet to come. As soon as you set foot here, you realise how big this club and this team are. Andrea [Berta] and Mikel [Arteta] took excellent care of me, leaving me with no doubts whatsoever.
“This is a huge moment in my career. It's the move I was looking for; one I wanted to make. Of course, it's a big change, but I'm ready to get started.”

I am surprised arteta picked this guy because I once read his policy his height and versatility, our coach is too obsessed with height if you notice our midfielders and defenders they are huge apart from MLS, timber and this zubimendi

Yes, he obviously likes height ( huge men) buh maybe his quality swayed him... He was so close to Liverpool before changing his mind hoping Barca would get rid of De Jong...Most Spanish players don't like leaving home due to the weather ( The Sun🌞)

Bayern Munich chairman already announced this deal back then in January when Bayern enquired about him, he said he's already sold Arsenal...

We're paying more than the release clause. Easy-buy method sha.
His deal started last summer when Edu was working on Merino. Jason and King finalized it in January.

Shaw get injured, yes buh not all season e.g. she was available v Arsenal, Liverpool and the Manager played Viv instead...

The issue with Jonas start not cos of Mead really or Off-field issues , cos players especially female players are dramatic, backbiting, Caucuses ( When Foord moved from dating Walti to McCabe or Leah attending Gucci trade nite and etc.)... It's a disrespect issues, there is one game v West ham and Jonas tells Viv to warm-up at around 85mins and tell her to enter only for Jonas to comeback minutes later and tap her shoulder and point 👉 to the bench with the her already on the touchline... It's was an ego problem between them and Jonas fearing her outsize influences among both the players and Fans...

That ( dramas) is what makes the Women football interesting not only the football itself...

Easy-buy mostly likely not to drop the money all at once grin grin grin... It's the theme of transfers dealings these days

It might be due to style of play at Sporting CP, most times they rely on fast break there ( counter attacking football)...

Either him or Sesko, I don't mind now....
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 3:36pm On Jul 06, 2025
🚨 Arsenal had still been at least €10m away from Leipzig’s valuation on Benjamin Sesko, with the German club wanting €40m of the release clause up front & around €40m split over fewer instalments.

Andrea Berta specifically felt Leipzig’s demands was too high a figure. A further issue is that Arsenal hadn’t agreed a final package with Sesko’s camp for the player’s terms, with the impasse lasting right up to last week.

It is understood that Arsenal got increasingly frustrated with the pace of negotiations & with Sesko’s camp, which has been a key factor in the evolution of their striker pursuit.

Mikel Arteta, keen to avoid a drawn-out saga, pushed for the club to explore other options more actively. Arteta wanted a striker in before pre-season properly started, which is one reason for the sudden advancement. [@MiguelDelaney] #arsenalfanaticsnews

That last paragraph though

Gyokeres showed more willingness to join than Sesko whose camp have been nonchalant.

He probably felt he was more important than the club. Like who told him he is Cristiano Ronaldo? Bad agent.

Am thinking it's Leipzig not wanting to budge on it demands even though their financial situation is tight right now... They are part of the "exclusive unfortunate clubs" nobody wants to do businesses with except it's necessary....
