Top 5 Richest Nigerian Pastors & Their Private Jets Revealed! by phosky(op): 5:01pm On Jul 06, 2025
Nigerians have sat in church pews while tithe money funds private jets, controversial Rolls‑Royces, and multi-million-dollar dynasties. Here’s a shocking deep dive into the top 5 wealthiest preachers who took off from faith… literally. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
1. Bishop David Oyedepo – Net Worth: ~$150 Million 🎯

Fleet: Four private jets — Gulfstream I & IV, Bombardier Challenger 604, Gulfstream V

Also owns Covenant University, Landmark University, major real estate & publishing

2. Pastor Enoch Adeboye – Net Worth: ~$65 Million

Jets: Two jets — Gulfstream G550 and GIV (worth ~ $65 M)

Plus a bulletproof Rolls, Mercedes, Land Rover — all funded by his global flock

3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – Net Worth: ~$50 Million

Jet: Owns a private jet (gifted by his empire)

Yacht‑like “White House” mansion, satellite TV stations, SUV fleet — funded by “Rhapsody of Realities” sales

4. Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor – Net Worth: ~$30 Million

Jet: Bombardier Challenger 601 (rumored govt gift)

Fleet of luxury cars, properties — once led CAN, Africa’s largest Christian body

5. Apostle Johnson Suleman – Net Worth: ~$10–10.5 Million

Jets: One private jet (some sources say three!)

Rolls Royce Phantom, Prado SUV — crowdsourced opulence from Omega Fire believers

🔥 Controversy & Outrage

Reddit users have been blazing:

“When are these prayers and fasting going to start working? The pastors are buying private jets, while poverty among members worsens.”

“Pastor at my church just bought a private jet with offering money… I feel heartbroken.”

Another user snapped:

“Megachurch culture in Nigeria is unbelievable… pastors buy jets, build schools, avoid taxes by registering assets under churches.”

🤔 Is It Biblical? Or Bottom-Line Preaching?

These revelations have sparked two major debates:

Spiritual hypocrisy: Critics argue that churches meant to serve the poor have instead enriched their leaders.

Prosperity gospel defense: Supporters say global ministries need private jets to manage operations—“when you oversee churches in 160 countries, you can’t use a bicycle,” says Adeboye

💥 Eye‑Opening Takeaway

While some of these pastors claim their private jets serve ministry purposes, believers question if faith-funded luxury is taking Nigeria backwards. As poverty looms, watching pastors flaunt multimillion-dollar lifestyles only fans the flames of outrage.

Do these men of God deserve private jets? Or have they veered off the biblical path?

A true man of God shouldn't be poor.

They are supposed to eat the good things of the earth

This is very wrong theology!

You have drunken from the wells of the gods of men.

Lazarus was poor. Jesus Himself was born in a manger. You guys must be very careful with your false teachings.

Jesus born in the monger was a sign of humility and not of poverty. Jesus did not tell his disciples he sent to preach not to collect whatever given to them. He told them to take whatever they give them. Jesus is not wicked that he would not fulfil his promise of abundant blessings he promised his servant when called them to serve. After Jesus healed the leprosy man after his first sermon, he told the man to go and give his gift to the priest as part of Thanksgiving to how God healed him as Moses told them.

So, Jesus was not selfish or against bringing poverty to his men. Men who serve in his vineyard should eat from their labour. These men of God has the gift of humility that Jesus brought and demonstrated because that have Holy Spirits that Jesus promised them and showed examples by being born the monger. One of the most expensive Oil that was used on Jesus was never denied by him even when his disciples said they should have sold it. Jesus was never against being rich in Godly way. Now, you can go and tell us why poverty fills your own religion. Is it because of multiple wives or what?

All I see are business conmen accumulating wealth by taking advantage of the scriptures to deceive their gullible miracle seekers for their own selfish gains.

Rich man - what else must I do to make heaven??

Jesus - you must sell all your belongings and give the proceeds to poor including your life savings

Rich man - went away very angry.

Jesus - it'll be more easier for a Carmel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to make heaven.

At the expense of those whom they are to feed? 👀

Jesus Christ didn't gather up wealth, his early disciples sold their properties to service each other's needs while this present "Pastors" 'gather up' when their flocks languish in poverty!

They continue to close their eyes while financial looters continue to loot the future of their masses yet they do nothing but endorse this same looters.

The times of old and now is not the same

You cannot serve and worship God without money

This present world has made a system with money at the center, not withstanding their actions indicate otherwise. Their excesses are clearly seen! I doubt whether Jesus will have four private jets while his people are heavy-laden with hunger and poverty! If you can answer this question truthfully then you will see where they have failed!

The church hardly contributes anything to society, it has only become a sinkhole! They have weaponised tithing with their actions and statements discouraging many from paying their dues to God!

The main purpose why all these were set up in the first place is defeated! Also, I remember even at then, Money was paramount hence Paul won't have mentioned "money as being the root of all evil", yet he didn't amass 1/1288th of what all these have!

Time difference is not really an excuse! They are not doing the right thing with the money they are amassing! They only receive, they do not give! Hence we are greater than them!
