I hate our cheat culture here in Nigeria, it make my living in Lagos a terrible experience. Even here in the north people are adopting dishonesty as a way to earn fast. Let change. |

That seems to be the order of the day every where in Nigeria if you are to push forward. It's a rooted problem, and we are not self-conscious people. So solution go hard. Only a handful of people want to do things the right way. |

It is well...Though I don't think it is every center that practice such. I also took the CCNA examination but in a different center from yours. I took mine in Thompson and Grace Institute at PH. We were only two in the computer room, it was strictly monitored. If you have any question, you just raise your hand and a proctor will enter the room to assist you, but the assistance is not to provide you with answers to questions. The examination was highly monitored with CCTV, I even learnt it was also being monitored from USA. If you didn't prepare, there is no way you will pass the exam. It was both multiple choice questions and simulations, where you do real time configurations. Thankfully I passed. |

I remember it was a rave back then CCNA and CCNP, he should have opted for the practical side. People that install IT equipment don't use certification they show what they can do, they secure huge contracts . Certifications are only for employment in Nigeria, abroad you need it to become a contractor and you must show the practical knowledge. Years CBN conducted interviews for its IT recruits , it was a practical exam, you were to assemble a vsat and configure it. Those who had no knowledge of it were screened out. Engineering courses are practical , the certificates were used to reduce the number of people who could be employed hence keep wages high theoretically, but if you know the practical side you will always have the advantage. When push comes to shove its those that have the practical skills that are engaged. |

OP, generally everybody is corrupt with lies and unaccountability in dem. If you want everyone to behave with moral, there must be an effective system in place. That is why in abroad, you can't misbehave! Let me burst your bubble. In American in the late 19th century to early 20th century, crimes was the order of the day, with killings and broad-daylight robbery in banks! Go and read the horror story of a girl named "Black dahlia." She was murdered and decapitated in Los Angeles. The murderer was never found! What are my saying. Am talking about putting a system in place. Even in your relationship with a woman, if there is no formal process of doing things, you will experience low productivity. Even with your friends. They must be guide or boundary. Alright. |

This is becoming a culture because we see our politicians doing worse and getting away with it ...human beings can't function properly if there's no consequence of doing wrong ...even God knows how complex human beings are and that why he doesn't live among humans before we provoke him to the extent of destroying every thing he made before the appointed time |

Now, I understand that the issue has become more pronounced now with embassies requesting the true identity of children before they leave the country with the man or the woman. The question that you and I should ask is this: which other country in the world demands this kind of dehumanizing thing from their people? Does Nigeria conduct DNA testing on Americans before they bring their children into our country? The author needs to understand that children are not products in the supermarket so if you have people who can lie just to get a visa, they'll do the tests. Another reason is that there is human trafficking, anyone can take someone's child abroad and claim it is their own. Nigeria has also refused to have a proper national ID database from birth which makes it difficult to trace every single person from birth so we brought the problem to ourselves. Nigerians can be very desperate to get things and I don't blame the people for the tests to be sure that what you wrote is what you claim. We know of people who don't apply themselves, they use consultants. They just don't care. About his IT foray, I feel sorry for him but when I read that experience, my mind went to India. Nigerians and Indians are like this when it comes to examinations, it's one of the sad things the British did to our psyche. Nigeria is still a learner where the Indians are but do I support cheating? No. What I see is a system that has refused to use the talents of its people and they do anything it takes to cheat the system. There are good Nigerians, there are bad Nigerians. There are good people, there are bad people. Nigeria should celebrate more of the good guys and don't mention those with bad behavior. |

I stopped at the DNA part. It's painful to read, so I'll sacrifice the remaining info he has to give. |

No summary, no proper comment from me. Miss me with this. According to ChatGPT "The author reflects on the pervasive presence of falsehood and dishonesty in Nigerian society, illustrating this through personal experiences and societal observations. They begin with a fictional video highlighting issues of trust and DNA testing, criticizing how societal pressures and international demands—such as DNA verification—dehumanize Nigerians and reflect a deeper problem of societal decay rooted in dishonesty. The author argues that issues like infidelity and DNA testing are symptoms of a broader moral decline, emphasizing that children’s identity should be based on love and family bonds rather than forensic verification. They criticize Nigeria’s participation in global practices that degrade human dignity, asserting that such measures are a sign of Nigeria’s subordinate status. Drawing from a personal career setback in the IT field, the author recounts their experience with fraudulent CCNA certification exams in Nigeria, which revealed the widespread corruption and lack of integrity within professional spheres. This disillusionment led them to shift focus from technology to moral and religious reform, recognizing that dishonesty permeates various aspects of Nigerian life—politics, religion, marriage, and business. The author contends that Nigeria’s high levels of corruption and falsehood are linked to weak law enforcement and societal motivation, contrasting Nigeria’s situation with countries where strict enforcement and values discourage dishonesty. They conclude with a reflection on the futility of dishonest pursuits, noting that those who engage in fraud often do not prosper morally or materially, and that societal integrity depends on fostering a culture of truth and uprightness." |

VBCampaign:Reading this reminded me why I paused my own plans to pursue some certifications a few years ago. The deeper issue, like you said, wasn’t just the exam system but how easily entire industries can be watered down when shortcuts become the norm. These days, my focus has shifted more toward real estate. Of course, real estate in Nigeria has its own wahala. But I’ve found that starting small, focusing on verified assets, and surrounding myself with the right people has made all the difference. That’s by the way, though. Over time, I’ve come to realise something simple but hard to accept: doing things the right way in Nigeria is a long game. It won’t always pay off fast, and people might even laugh at you for trying. But if you’re patient and consistent, it adds up. The reward might not come immediately in naira, but it shows up in peace of mind, in the kind of people you attract, and in the options life opens up later. |
