I don't know if it's just me, but I just think this Ayiri Emami's money is clean. I know he is not the one arrested by NDLEA but his relative in the picture shaking hands with Tinubu; but I just feel Ayiri himself is not clean.

The way Ayiri always flaunts luxury with no traceable and verifiable legit business to his name, he gives the vibe of someone who might be running this Ajetsibo guy.
Ayiri money and clean?

Loooool.
The annoying part is he should be having clean money because of how long and how much he made/makes as a contractor to chevron.
This his brother arrested is probably the same one I met in escravos in 2018 working around the airstrip side.

I don't understand greed guy.

We know what these people can do, if they harm him or even kill him we will say he should have listened to them
IMO, he did the right thing and still got his money
Always remember dead man don't tell tales
Unless they don't have guns you can argue your way out
Read what I wrote there again.

I didn't say he should fight with them bro. All I said was that he ought to know the papers a car owner should have and if they ask him for any paper outside the regular ones he should tell them with confidence there is nothing like that.

If they ask him to go to station , he should follow them. When they get to station, he should let their oga know the paper they are asking for is not required/genuine. If they insisit, he should leave but promise them he will report to the authorities.

They will either release his vehicle to him or call his bluff and find out like they just did.

I said all these because it was obvious from the guy's original story that he didn't know the paper they requested from him does not even exist. They just saw him as ignorant and extorted him based on that. He was only able to recover the money because he made mention of the incident online.

It's become a cultural thing..Too many wealth in our society without traceable root..To make matters worse, one wouldn't be wrong if the person says that the average Nigerian worships money..

Wike was asked the other day how he managed to get rich and he said his father managed many big companies..Now it turns out the man is a pastor..Over 50% of our elites are shady..

that is what secularism means

If the guy had not mentioned it online, he would've lost the 80k and will be going about with the impression that there's a "permit to sell" somewhere he ought to have which he doesn't.

you can see the volumes of weed being sold. that means there is a large client base for purchase.

don't think na only area boys and thugs indulging

they have already done same in the west

and funny enough, legalizing may make it safer as it will now be in the hands of businesses being regulated, not street hustlers who will mix and cut weed with all sorts

But religious organizations, customs and traditions actually shape what constitutes the moral of a society.

There's a reason why they are consulted when the government wants to embark on constitution review. They are stakeholders and in a democracy they will always be consulted.

I can tell u for free that if they want to legalize weed today and CAN,PFN, and Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) oppose the idea; it will almost not fly.

I don't see the bold happening.

Legalizing weeed in a poor country like Nigeria with tens of millions youth that are jobless will only lead to spike in crime rate.

Do u see videos of young boys taking colos misbehaving online? It can only get worse with the legalization o

the problem is there is always another paper. sometimes the paper itself may or may not be approved

anyone driving commercial vehicle or who is employed as a driverr is expected to have license from lastma
today tinted permit, tomorrow not required, next tomorrow on held
last year they said there is one annual cmr or something like that

my pick requires local govt, hackney permit, mid year, and one other one i forget

even the people you engage their brain dey touch and they will not tell you about required paper until after the fact

and yes they will do their best to intimidate and extort

one time i was in the sienna and local govt thugs stopped me
they were demanding local govt paper.
i told them clearly the car was registered as private
they kept trying to make up story and i said we would go to their office.
when they saw i was not backing down they pulled the oga so you are from so and so place - why did you not say so? this guy is from kwara - you suppose tell us before na

and of course the baggers still asked for money after all of it. riff raff

Legalizing it will throw the market open beyond control
Everyone will have access
Intoxication and influence will increase the crime rate, i can give you 1000 stories where criminals blame weed for their crimes because they can't do it with clear eyes
You will see fast and furious show from danfo drivers
We can't regulate it once it's in open market

The only advantage here is govt can generate revenue from it but after that, total chaos

the reason colos makes people misbheave is because it is mixed with all sorts. you have no idea what you are getting. but if you are buying weed over the counter in a pharmacy or store, then it is put together in a proper process, much like actual cigarettes

we can make the same argument about alcohol causing crimes as well. which may be why hey had prohibition in the us in the 20s/30s

everything you wrote also applies to alcohol
people already have access to weed without regulation.
people are already committing crimes without regulation
so how does legalizing it now lead to a spike in crime?

There will always be synthetic and adulterated weed whether u sell over the counter or not. Thank Goodness u used alcohol as example; shebi u know they sell adulterated alcohol almost everywhere ? Same would happen to weeed.

If u think accidental discharge by policemen is on the high side, wait till weeed is legalized. Even people who don't have mind to enter into crime, they will get inspiration from weed and give it their all.

Like Iamoyindamola posited, the only positive of legalizing weed id maybe potential revenue for government. But the downside is enormous

at which point it is you are at your own risk if you choose to buy weed from corner instead of over the counter.
legalizing gives you options.

you can buy your beer or alcohol over the counter or you can buy from the paraga joint - but it is now your own choice - just as i can buy coke from a store, or from the aboki at the corner. i know which one is safer and ironically which one costs less
