Have you applied before on the old platform or this is your first time applying for german study visa at all.

Is your own showing visa for conditional/unconditional offer to study at university or unconditional offer to study at a preparatory college. Something like this or what does yours show?
Mallamai:
I haven’t submitted my own application but mine is showing 2-8weeks and I don’t have a scholarship, or b2 in German and I am going for masters

Please, can anyone help list the required documents I should prepare for my interview at the German Embassy?

I registered for my visa appointment on October 22, 2023, and I believe my appointment date is getting close. I want to be fully prepared ahead of time.

Also, can someone help with the possible questions I might be asked during the interview?

Thank you in advance 🙏
The list of documents is on the embassy's website.

From what I've heard, they give out tests during the interview. Wether it's based on what you studied or are going to study, I don't know.

Also, please update here when you get an appointment. I booked a week after you.

Please I need clarity on the issues of birth certificate as regards embassy interview. I only have birth certificate from my local government that I have been using for a decades now. Please will it not be accepted by the embassy, and is it a must someone do affidavit as regards birth certificate, or is it NPC birth certificate more recognize than the local government own.

Both my parents are sleeping in death, and I share a different surname from my family members. Would this be an issue if my uncle signs my declaration of age as my family head or my older brother whom I share same family name with?

and what is "certified copy of the local birth register extract based on the first registration"?

and please kindly explain "copy of an identity document showing the signature of the person making the affidavit makes an affidavit". This is confusing me.

Hi, I'm a Nigerian, plus I have a Certificate of Residence in Côte d'Ivoire. Due to the long wait time to get an appointment in Nigeria, I am considering the Côte d'Ivoire route. Please, do you know how long it takes to get a German student visa appointment in Côte d'Ivoire?

Good day all, can anyone clarify something for me?
if your entry date for your visa is 1st of August but you booked your tickets to leave on the 31st of july and you will be arriving the said country on the 1st of August, would it cause an issue at the lagos departure point?
i will appreciate a response. thanks
It’s not an issue, if you wouldn’t get to another country outside Nigeria before 1st of August

@hannania in a situation whereby I am able to get all my documents before my interview I now got reschedule can I still go on my interview day.
Clarify this please. Do you mean going for an interview on the date you've already rescheduled to another ? If so, they'll bounce you because your name won't be on the system. Mr paulinus will just frustrate and embarrass you.

OluwaTofunmiiii:
What if i don't go at all?, cause the document missing is my confirmation letter, I am still gathering the BA money.

Or I print out the mail i sent that they didn't respond too along with me.
If you don't go at all, you'll automatically join the queue again. To help your case incase of such, send an email with your expected date of interview so you can tag them later. If you don't reschedule before your interview, they won't honour your request

Concerning the rescheduling, I sent a mail Friday morning, so on Saturday I sent a follow-up email under the rescheduling mail that they should ignore the rescheduling email, that I have all my documents ready for the interview. I didn't know help was going to come and I will sort out the blocked account issue so fast.

They wrote people who were born before 1992 should make affidavit. People who were born after 1992 and their birth certificate was registered after they turned 18 years should still make affidavit. Could you check the date your NPC birth certificate was issued and how old were you as of that year .

One of your parents in ondo has to go to the high court with a valid identity ( international passport, NIN, or driving license) where his or her signature shows and make a declaration of age for you

Hello everyone,

I want to know, is it true that everyone going for the study visa interview will write a test pertaining to their chosen course of study?

If yes, I was admitted to study BEng Sustainable Business and Technology, an Engineering course, if there are anyone who has written such test, kindly help with hints and guide, please. My interview is very close.

Are there study materials for the test and how many minutes or hours was scheduled for it?

Do you have any guide to give for Engineering course?

Is the test "Test for Academic Studies" "TestAS"?

1. The test is usually short. Like 5-10 minutes or so.
2. No, sorry. But brush up on your maths and Physics I guess.
3. No
