1nice:What is your own definition of injustice and exclusion? Has any Igbo candidate ever been stopped from contesting in any presidential election? If your answer is NO, it means you have no moral justification to talk about exclusion or injustice. If you want Nigeria system to be reconstituted such that each region will be allowed to produce president on a turn-by-turn basis, kindly put pen to paper and write to the SE law makers in the national assembly to forward a bill in that regard. The last election was by far the only time I have seen a serious and reputable/marketable Igbo candidate (Mr Peter Obi) contesting in a presidential election. Even though he didn't win, we all know he gave a good fight and he can always try harder next time. But you guys want power to handed over to Igbos because they have tried for once. It is not done anywhere bro. You keep fighting/trying until you get what you want. |

owobokiri:Stop living in the past. We are talking about recent events. What did you achieve with the 2 years sit at home? Even the Igwe's dare to say peem during the 2 years lock down by some illiterate kids |

1nice:Dont waste your time. You stand a better chance of winning over a fulani with this kind of solid political arguments, than with someone from the south west. Actually, being willing to politically marginalise the south east, seem to be the major goal of any South west APC politician. A former federal minister of works from the Southwest once boasted about how he rwfused ro do roads in the south east! They wear such sinister abilities on their chests like a badge of honor.. Almost every politically conscious soul in the southwest seem to think that politics is the only thing that they can convincingly claim to have beaten the easterners at, and as such a symbol of pride. They cant get tired of mocking the east.. Once in a while, you hear of the fulani talking of power going to the south east, you can hardly hear any "important" southwest politician talk like that. Not even the inconsequentials like the one you quoted.. It gives them a sadistic source of pride to see the igbos struggle politically or economically. Why? I don't know. Push them hard to know why and they start talking of Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna . Even when northerners like Babangida have moved on, those who were never the direct intended targets of the coup are still here yapping around a hundred years after.. Even the south south are not spared. Convenient excuse to mask their pri-mi-tive disdain for other groups To me it's either just fear or inferiority complex.. |

Godfullsam:thank you. Tinubu didn't get it easily and they even mocked him that he won't win the primaries. Igbos think politics is all about emotion. They are unable to access the presidency and now threatening war and succession but their brother s aguyi ironsi, ojukwu killed many boys of Isaac boro and jailed him and to be about to be executed before the dimka coup. They were enjoying then but why our oil in south south was been denied and when we wanted republic, the animals said no but they want us to pity them. |

Ojiofor:Indeed. I don't agree with your views or talk always but you come across to me to be someone who is objective and progressive overall. The bolded is the right response because these are the guys attracting animosity and enmity towards Igbos to then turn around and make it seem others "hate" Igbos and "mean them harm" for "no reason". This is a democratic exercise . How can you threathen others with another civil conflict as if war is something anyone should ever contemplate let alone use as a tool of blackmail? Furthermore, talks like that is disrespectful to the those who suffered tragically, directly or indirectly, over the last civil war that was unnecessary, IMO, if calm heads and reasoning had prevailed. It is the turn of the South. Not Igbos. It will always be the turn of the South or North. When it is the turn of the South then Igbos should negotiate with other southerners if they wish to exclusively produce the Southern candidate. Ditto for the turn of the North. It is for Northerners to agree, by amicable and negotation-based consensus, where to microzone the ticket to . "For every action, ther is an equal and opposite reaction". Igbos cannot continue to operate in disdain for this fundamental consideration of life to then always shout they are victim of "hatred, marginalisation and persecution" from others. Threatening, insulting and publicly villifying Yorubas will not make them cede Southern Presidential slot to Igbo. Rather it will harden their resolve to stand against those who , by their bitter word and threats, are appearing hateful, disrespectful and disdainful of Yorubas. |

Ojiofor:There is a saying "the truth is bitter" The truth is that if igbos do not get Nigeria presidency in 2027 then another Civil War in Nigeria is unstoppable. Because you can not tell igbos to wait until 2031 or 2035. Never in your life open your mouth to tell me the type of thread to create in the name of ndi Igbo. |
