He failed to conduct local government elections because of ongoing court cases that made it impossible until a resolution was finally reached. While local government activities continued to function, this does not excuse his inaction. The situation in Nigeria is more challenging than ever, and we cannot let personal beliefs, including support for Peter, blind us to the reality of the bad government policies and widespread corruption at high levels. It’s time to confront these issues directly, as they severely limit the potential of all citizens in our country.
