It is not standard practice for them to open doors, which where diplomatically, Shettima deviates from standard. However, I am not going to engage with you on any pauperizing. I am not on that level, if you see yourself as down and they as up, that's your headache but there are other instances where Nigerian leaders have been received by your white masters or developed countries as you call them with some respect. To answer your question specifically, President Jimmy Carter has once opened the door for President Shehu Shagari when he visited the US President. Carter himself opened the door himself and made a light joke out of the situation because protocol could not be completed. I have not found the archive footage but thankfully, US keeps a record of their visits.
