Iran Acquires Chinese Missiles After Ceasefire With Israel

Iran has received Chinese surface-to-air missile (SAM) batteries following its recent 12-day conflict with Israel.

The delivery, made after a de facto ceasefire on June 24, is part of Tehran’s effort to rebuild its air defences destroyed during Israeli strikes.

Iran is reportedly paying for the missile systems with oil shipments, deepening its trade ties with Beijing. China already imports nearly 90% of Iran’s crude exports, often using transshipment routes through countries like Malaysia to bypass US sanctions.

While the number and type of missiles transferred remain unclear, Iran is believed to operate various Chinese and Russian air defence systems, including the HQ-9 and Russia's S-300. These defences are seen as limited against advanced Israeli aircraft like the US-made F-35.

This is just one instance oh, it happens everyday but does not make the news.

The last Iranian strike was about 300 missiles and at least 40% got through and we all saw the destruction it caused. Israel is the most defended airspace on earth.

You do know Iran already received Yak trainers.
They already built underground hangars for the jet.
They already received a few units.

Why would they do all that and receive all that for stuff they haven't paid for and Russia didn't say was being delivered?
There are payment terms for deals of this nature.
To date, I can't find any report that the lack of delivery was caused by payment issues.

Iran has taken possession of Chinese surface-to-air missile batteries as Tehran rapidly moves to rebuild defensives destroyed by Israel during their recent 12-day conflict, sources have told Middle East Eye.

The deliveries of Chinese surface-to-air missile batteries occurred after a de-facto truce was struck between Iran and Israel on 24 June, an Arab official familiar with the intelligence told MEE.

Another Arab official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive intelligence, said that the US's Arab allies were aware of Tehran's efforts to "back up and reinforce" its air defences and that the White House had been informed of Iran's progress.

The officials did not say how many surface-to-air missiles, or SAMs, Iran had received from China since the end of the fighting. However, one of the Arab officials said that Iran was paying for the SAMs with oil shipments.
