My friend is that was a genuine reason. At his father's funeral, he was barely superstar that he's today and paparazzi mobbed him talkless of now he's a global icon.
Apart from that to me o, he's too emotional and make break down in tears been there and that alone will give paparazzi more fuel to focus on him. My take

So he Ronaldo just like me may have this fear or hate burials due to some reasons. Do you know I couldn't attend my own brothers burial My parents and brothers went but I was home, I was scared to see the corpse. But if I were celebrity the media will focus on that, they will say I was quarrelling with my late brother hence the reason. Media causes serious problems. There's possiblity Ronaldo may have sent a representative, he may also have called the family and even donate heavily but people won't know.
