I guess Mechanical Engineering is his calling not Medicine. Please they should allow him afterall UNN has expelled him according to the report

Getting into medicine requires he writes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in JAMB. He could have been struggling with Biology which is the main focus on Medicine. As such, he could be struggling with his MB exams. It doesn't mean he isn't brilliant, he's just playing against his strength perhaps, because growing up, his parents/family had played the medicine song to his ears too much.

Now he knows he can't keep up with what he doesn't like and is pivoting to what he likes. Learn to keep am open mind.

Most top candidates of JAMB chose UNILAG the University of First Choice and the nation's pride. This is why most of the classes are full.of very smart students in UNILAG.

All the top candidates from different parts of Nigeria chose Yorubaland to acquire their tertiary education. Yorubaland is the Oxford and Cambridge of Nigeria and Africa

The student was not expelled; the VC is simply making a deceitful case. This is what is happening with the so-called high JAMB top scorers: either they are already writing for others as a means of a machinery or for themselves when they are already in their third year. Celebrating a university student for scoring the highest in JAMB is a sign of a sick society. Anambra is a known home for special centers where buying and selling take place. If you serve in Anambra, you might have observed it. For those who are making a case for him, a time will come when a doctor (PhD) will want to switch fields and will rewrite JAMB and score 400, and mediocrities will troop to the street to celebrate.

The thing that most people commenting dont know is that jamb now keeps a record of all students who registers for the exam and you cant hold two undergradate admissions at thesamse time any longer in Nigeria unless you graduate from one to start the other. Thats the essence of the registar needing a formal clarification on that so that his portal can be updated to be out of school otherwise he will not be able to get any admission even with this good score. Anyways congrats to him.[color=#000099][/color]

I truly wonder. Everyone knows how gruelling Medicine and Surgery is. Often it is the best of the best who succeed in getting admission to read it, and even when the candidate fails out of Medicine, the other faculties readily accept to transfer them.

It means the JAMB result is questionable.... did you read the reason he was expelled? How can the overall best in JAMB perform woefully in class to the extent of expelling him?

One thing I found interesting in all the candidates is,they all choose universities in the South West. Either public or private. And it's very obvious after graduating, they would want to stay back in Southwest and work.

If someone who was already studying medicine was expelled due to poor performance, and he takes Jamb and does this well for Engineering, it's likely that medicine is not where his strength and passion are. Very likely. This may be Chinedu Okeke's case.
