How Much Should A Bachelor Spend On Food Monthly by Nobody: 5:16pm On Jul 08, 2025
I finished my Nysc last month and I have embraced new life outside 33k and 77k but my major concern is I don't know if I am spending too much or less I need the input of bachelor like me. I spent roughly 40k on food every month. I woud like to know if the amount is okay or am i consuming too much

All criticism are welcomed

As a bachelor 40k is judicious spending, take things at a time.

I don't think it's too much considering how literally everything is on the high side now

In a sitting 3k food at a local restaurant in that case for a poor fellow 5k is manageable in a day.

So for you to think 40k is too big in 30 days shows are malnourished you are. You lack so many nutrients with that budget.

You don’t need to reply me. Just try to work harder. Because that 40k nor follow even if you intend cooking

I spend in the region of 90k to 120k and I feel it's not even enough. Mind you I cook occasionally but always buy foodstuffs at the beginning of every month... Just basic essential things I need.

Oh, and I don't do soda, processed or deep-fried foods from restaurants. So I basically eat whole food, zero snacking on junks and fruits are my best friend. You just have to be pragmatic about it and 40k isn't bad. I've seen people and families live on less than that
