If the source is illegitimate, EFCC will prosecute him and his group. Next, EFCC will search for the car seller, arrest and prosecute whoever sold the car. Car and account balance of the bot would be recovered, victim(s) contacted and money refunded.

The father was very honest and has no blame in this. Expect the so called friends to vanish and use the boy as their reference in the future.

This is failure of fatherhood. Your son didn't just wake up one day to buy Benz. Your son must have been engaged in questionable activities long before he bought that Benz. As a father, how didn't you know? You saw your son spending money you didn't give him and you never questioned it?

Any son that can boldly bring a car to his father with money from a questionable source is an indictment on that father's character. If he had raised that boy well, fear alone would have stopped that boy from even thinking anything like going to buy a car.
