This same people have said times without number that they don't want to be in the same county with Yoruba. Who is begging for unity?..same Yoruba.

Rest Ogbeni angry
Then go away from Nigeria and make sure you pack all your people out of Yoruba land.
You don't want to have anything to do with the Yorubas, but your people travel in truck load to Yoruba land almost everyday.
What manner of self Deception is that?!

I'm thinking she should be going after the one who wrote the summons...if there was one. Go after his job. The brother said even the IG can't stop him ... she should let the IG know ... hopefully he takes it personal and dig into the whole matter. But where is the husband's elder brother in the matter? ... he has no way?

Imagine! All because the man is dead. When you see why some men dont tell their family members where the bought property because there is wisdom in it. Was it not this same Anambra a family held a man in custody for several years extorting money from him until his daughter bravely intervened.

Heartless bunch, they only care about money, their costly burials and marriages are all about extortion they never care for their people especially the women.

Where's Peter Obi when you need him?

Thought they said he connects more with the people?

Isn't it obvious he's been doing so much for the north recently because he wants to gain their trust?

Leaving his people suffer from an aged long tradition that renders women useless in his region.

How can one's relative go after their brother's properties when he was officially married and stayed married until death.
Remember they are all billionaires. So the woman may be lieing because she is a billionaire too grin

As for obi, it didn't happen in sw, so he won't comment grin

Until you hear both sides of the story.
Two things taken from her side, the judgement was likely "jankara", just as recently done to one politicians brother. Jankara was popular years back when judgment is gotten behind the back of someone.
Secondly it seems the land in question is family land and not owned by her late husband, she stated that "The land I was living in was built by my late husband's father and my husband is the last born"
That property was never hers or exclusively that of her husband except it was willed to her husband by his late father. You cannot live with your husband in family house and then claim the place after his death, last last if the place is sold, your husbands share of the money will be handed to you.
Long and short, lawyers will always advice a woman to get married in a statutory way, as rights are more protected.
Her outcry and points seem to be based on sentiments which will likely be disregarded, the most anyone will do is resettle her based on compassionate grounds.

The social media president and self-proclaimed Obidient messiah will never intervene in critical matters. Instead, he prefers making unsolicited donations and sinking substandard boreholes for communities that never asked, all for cheap electoral gains. As always, Obi is Labouring in vain.

why hearing this all the time ? It's becoming scaring to allow your sister or any female related to you to get married to that part of our country.

It's a norm in anambara

They too drag landed properties as if they die with land

Always maltreating women, no regards to women

That is the norm over there.

It is the normal way. After they might have fed the woman with the " dead bodi water".

The likes of Chimamamda that should rise against the inherited wicked culture of their fore fathers are wise enough to marry from outside there. Yet, she will be forming activist from her comfort in obodo oyinbo.

No wonder, Chioma wan die on top Davido' preek. No wonder the parents sacrificed culture to come and marry out their daughter in a foreign land in her husband house.

#hypocrites.

You claim you don’t want anything to do with the Southwest, yet you keep running there like it’s your safe haven. Make it make sense. The confusion is real — just like your ‘messiah’ Obi, who changes political parties more often than babies change diapers. Clearly, many of you are just as confused as your leader. No direction, no ideology — just vibes and contradictions.

You must have missed this:

Mrs. Vivian's in-laws, allegedly led by her husband's brother, Isaiah Eze-Onwumere, and his children, have been relentless in their pursuit to dispossess her of her late husband's inheritance.

"They said that Ebuka, his son, has the right to sell the land," Mrs. Vivian said. "I said Ebuka who did not contribute even ‘sorry’ when my husband was sick is the one who wants to sell his landed property? I said nobody will sell the land."

Why does the said brothers son have a right to sell a deceased Uncles land and profit from it, while the deceased Uncles children are rendered destitute. Even if it is family land, were they in coma when the deceased built on the land and occupied the land for that long? It’s clear this house is the deceased inheritance and naturally should be occupied and owned by his children. No nephew or cousin or sibling has any right on that house over his children. To evict the woman and her children, they claimed her children were not for their brother. This is pure wickedness and greed. They went as far as denying paternity of those children to steal the property. Yet same brother hopes his children will inherit and sees himself and his children as more DNA eligible than his younger brother.

Is this not Lagos journalism? Where in anambra did this happen? Which town and which local government? If this story is true, does this onwumere family not have a first son? What did he say in all these because if it’s the husband’s father that built the house and d husband’s father is dead, the house now belongs to the first son according to igbo culture but the first son doesn’t have the right to send other brothers out of the house. I’ll like to hear what the first son said or his input in all these. If not I’ll take this article as Lagos journalism with intent to taint the igbos and anambra state bad.

Madam what really happened? Stop the emotional blackmail on social media, it will never help you.

You guys are fond of forming strong woman, rejecting every approach to peace but when the bubble bursts you run to social media to play the victim card.

Stop deluding yourself on social media, go to court

Why does the said brothers son have a right to sell a deceased Uncles land and profit from it, while the deceased Uncles children are rendered destitute. Even if it is family land, were they in coma when the deceased built on the land and occupied the land for that long? It’s clear this house is the deceased inheritance and naturally should be occupied and owned by his children. No nephew or cousin or sibling has any right on that house over his children. The land I was living in was built by my late husband's father and my husband is the last born.
"Eboka has the right to sell it"could mean he is the fellow given the right or permission to sell the land on behalf of the family.
I don't know the native laws in that part of the country, but I know if the husbands father died without a will, then any such land belongs to all the children irrespective of who lives on it with their family.
The most this widows son will get is his father's share of the proceeds of the sale of the property.
