Re: The Ga Traditional Council Denounces The Igbo King In Ghana by aswani(m): 7:05am On Jul 10, 2025
This rascal obviously made some money and had no idea what to do with it so he decided to purchase a throne and crown and announced he was going to build a village which effectively suggests his kingdom.

This trait is common to some, across all tribes, that make money and have not got any sense or understanding as to what to do with it apart from massaging their own ego and increasing their sense of self importance.

Ndi Yoruba call it ìkọjá ayé, hopefully Others will learn.

Every state in Nigeria should take a leaf from this and ban every igbo king in their domain.

I wonder why any Ghanaian would be bothered about what title someone wants to address himself as? King of Igbos in Ghana?

Has the guy done anything illegal by addressing himself as such? If he likes, he can addressing himself as King of Chinese people in Ghana if he wants

Kemetian:
These Igbos are the ones giving Nigeria a bad name everywhere. From this king nonsense to their drug trafficking to their anti-Nigerian twitter rants to the Igbos in Ghana with YouTube channels trashing Nigeria daily.
Well it's not a must that you guys must be with Igbos in one country. You guys can support Igbos to have a seperate country

Bro, they don't owe you any explanation. The Ga people said they don't want it on their territory.

Igbos should respect their host and stop questioning what they want on their land.

Ghanaians are just envious of the strides our brothers are making globally. They should nevertheless thread carefully lest our brothers desert their country, leaving behind a desolate landscape, because we know for sure our brothers are responsible for 90 percent of the development happening in Ghana.

Don't say you were not warned.

Ghanaians are wasting their time over a non issue. Which lgbo people crowned the guy king and where did they derive their power from. Secondly the so called king doesn't have the power to summon any lgbo man or woman. So what is the fuss

If the guy who declared himself a king in a foreign land have respect for his tribe , his people, he wouldn't have made such declaration to start with. Imagine even saying he's acquiring land to have a kingdom? Hahah

You guys should be correcting each other whenever you do things that are obviously wrong like this. It's to avoid such in future

In Africa, you cannot use the title ''King'' when living as a foreigner on another King's land, without the customs, tradition, culture or law authorizing or recognizing you as such.
Let him call himself the chairman or president or leader of Igbo Community (which may be subject to elections), but apparently he wants to hold the title for life that is why he is calling himself ''king'' by force by force

I think Nigerians tried to help. You guys rejected the help. I remember northern youths asking all of you to leave the north. Your elders needed to go and crawl and beg before the northern youths agreed to allow you stay. After the last election you were asked to leave Lagos. You held on tight. By the way, no one is fooled by all these "you're the ones not letting igbos go" bs. 95% of you guys are petty traders, and you need that huge Nigerian market to survive. You know your trading is doomed if your market is restricted to that 5 plots you'd be returning to.
Asking people to leave one part of the country and go back home is what you do after you have granted them a seperate country. You don't ask them to leave while they are still part of the country, that's a violation of the constitution that has granted freedom of movement while they are still part of the country. The rest of Nigeria should come together and unite in deciding to allow Igbos to go their way. But if Nigeria can't do that, they should stop complaining about Igbos. Nobody can eat their cake and have it

In Africa? Which law back that one? Albert Apoozore is a Ghanaian musician that goes bu the name "King Ayisoba". So if he decides to relocate to Senegal tomorrow, he should be locked up for referring himself as "
'King'?

Why would Igbos need anyone's support when they can always have their way all by themselves given how physically strong and mentally superior they are to all other people?
It's not a matter of what Igbos want, but a matter of the fact that the disasterous British colonial contraption called Nigeria has never worked, and we are all wasting each other's time being together in one country when we should have all gone our seperate ways a long time ago

This isn't about what Ghanaians don't like, it's about what their law permits. Ghana is a democracy with freedom expression. If they know of any law the man broke by calling himself "king of Igbos in Ghana", let them report to the authorities and have the man prosecuted

However, if the man broke none of their laws by calling himself such, they should shut up until such as enacted

That’s different. King Sunny Ade was addressed as such in London.

But go there and install the “Igbo King of UK” and see how quickly you get flogged and deported.
