The great Leader of our time is Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Minister of Interior
Re: Tunji-ojo Meets US Envoy Over New Visa Policy, Says FG Will Curb Overstay By NGR by nedekid: 9:37am On Jul 10, 2025
Let's face facts, 95% of Nigerians that get us visas are likely to over stay and not return. Those that are even good small, will stay and work illegally then return within the 3 or 6 months allowed stay in order not to breach some terms of the visa, they then return back to work again. The remaining 5% are those gainfully employed here in Nigeria and will go for genuine holiday visit and return within time frame. The Americans do not want those that fall within the 95%.
You say you want to visit friends and family, you now get 3 months single entry, go visit them and return to your work or business here in naija, abi did you not claim to have gainfull employment in your country? How come you can stay for eg 6 months in Yankee, then return to naija and in 2 weeks you are back in the US for another 6 months? How were you living in the US without earning a living?
Bottomeline is that the more the economy tanks, the more Nigerians will flee the country for greener pastures, most will be through visiting visas which will be abused through overstay or outright not returning. Those countries know and will continue to block travels by Nigerians.

Obidients, stop hating, stop crying about anyone wishing the best for Nigeria. Is Nigeria not gaining more value under this government?

Our credit score rating have been upgraded to more positive as we have been servicing our debt regularly.

2024-2025 dollar exchange rate difference is less than N50. A whole year difference meaning there is stability with Naira as currency.

We are not interested in convincing you people about what this government has been doing, allow us to tell those who are interested to hear and read about it without being an opinion killer
Nigeria getting more value must be a joke you share in your group. Nigerians are hungrier and poorer in just 2 yrs.
I don't even envy the new government coming in 2027.The task to return nigeria economy whr SW president met it in the last 2 yrs is huge. Then to improve it after getting to that stage is another process.
Credit rating for currency that is now tissue paper
Then that olodo in cbn is using stability to decieve himself as achievemen and SW president gang. Who stability help for nigeria. The important thing is the purchasing power of the money to Nigerians. When your minimum wage can not buy a bag of rice. And #50 and below are worthless in the country.
Which school you even go.

There is hope since Tunji-Ojo is the Nigerian man who will address this issue. If it was Aregbesola, mehn.......say "go-beeee". It is very simple. Nigeria needs to start giving Amricans 5 years multiple entries to Nigeria. It is as simple as ABC. Perhaps they can negotiate to 1 or 2 years with multiple entries citing over 95% refusals of Nigerians. Yeah. That's a point I would hold on to if I was the minister. As regards the issue of Nigerians over-staying in the US, I know where the US is going to which Nigeria will still find very hard to address. No one can make anyone not to overstay because it is a choice adults have to make, but the US will demand database of the financial and criminal status of Nigerians which I am sure Nigeria will not want to hand over because it will expose their incompency.

I sincerely hope this issue can be addressed. If its to revert to the old 2 years multiple visa, it will be a good deal also. But if 5 years with multiple entries can be achieved, that will be wonderful. If we fully cooperate with the US, then, we will be getting 10 years multiple visas.

Trump hate Africa especially when your country seems not like uk or Canada. But despite this hate he can still invited some goat leaders for his economy talk in Washington DC...Atiku a nonentity opposition leader abusing mr president because he wasn't invited for the meeting.
Since he hates us why don't we fix our continent?, it's an opportunity to fix nations... it's a blessing in disguise if you can see it that way.

Tunji ojo is the only minister in Tinubu regime that is truly working
How? All I hear about are "Passports and Visa". Minister of Interior is a very serious and sensitive post. He's simply distracting us with all these Passport and Visa issue. They should be the least of his problems.

Where's the tit for tat?

Suddenly, Nigeria now has value but it's conspicuously missing among the African countries Trump invited to the White House for the investment parley.

You are supposed to be the one to relax and stop jumping on mentions you feel is critical to the Tinubu govt.

Listen , being left out of serious investment talks like the trump/US investment parley isn’t a social media conspiracy; it’s a reflection of how the world currently rates Nigeria under your beloved Tinubu. Instead of throwing tantrums, ask yourself why key players are avoiding us. This isn't about LP or PDP or even ADC, it's about results, reputation, and relevance. If leadership was delivering, no one would need to troll; the wins would speak for themselves.

But go ahead, keep kissing the 'truth' while the rest of Africa collects the dividends.

Are you expecting the government to come and put food on your table, money in your Pocket without being productive yourself
The bar is now so low that 'paying debts we created' and 'Naira not crashing as fast' is considered an achievement. Imagine bragging about owing less terribly and calling it stability. If this is what success looks like under Tinubu, then it’s clear mediocrity has become national policy.

Listen helinus, Celebrate that if you want but Nigerians still want actual progress, not just slower decline.

US reduces your visa duration due to overstay...blame Tinubu
UAE impose stricter visa conditions ....blame Tinubu.

You are a criminal for violating another country's law.

Call out the criminality of Nigerians.
US don't want you to over stay
UAE don't want you to do cultism and bring drugs to their country.

Don't blame Tinubu or Nigeria for your criminality

Who obtained those debts that was cleared by this government? How many years have they been obtained? Why do those who obtained the loan unable to pay them before leaving government?

Yes, previous governments accumulated debts over the years, but Tinubu’s administration is openly racking up even more debt right now. Who exactly is going to pay back this new debt?

If past debts were such a problem, why are we repeating the same mistake?

It’s not enough to blame those before, if Tinubu is piling on more loans without a clear plan to repay, then Nigerians are just being handed a bigger crisis wrapped in excuses.
