This style of campaign has worked in the past and was busted by the Obidient movement and throughly condemn. No politician worth his salt will engage in such practices going forward. Only for them to turn around yesterday and start defending the same practice The Nigerian electorate will forever be gullible if the future leaders also fall for this scam then what does the future hold. It then begs the question : is this Obidient movement really about wanting a better nation or just a political tool in the hand of a seasoned Nigerian politician. Lol, and you used Peter obi photo as your first reference point. I know what you did here. The truth is, Nigerians are very gullible, including you and me. We fall for packaging over principles, drama over track record. So when politicians fake humility to win support, it works because we reward it. Even the OP, who i guess is a woman probably wears makeup to ‘package’ herself, just like politicians do before elections. The difference? One is for social acceptance, the other is for power and control. We all play the game on different levels. obembet:Because they know Nigerians want "humble" leaders. That was why they said Buhari could not afford a presidential nomination form. But it's not always about politics. Some of them are actually humble and eat with ordinary people, but because they're in politics and there's a camera, people will interpret it as political. Anyway, it's wrong to think that just because someone is humble, they'll make a good leader. You can even have integrity (not chop money) and be a failed leader if you don't know how to lead and run things effectively. 8 Likes |
