Here is the agreement document we signed.
Abeg no vex, what kind of relationship is between you and your partner?
I mean, in the sense of rapport...
Cos the contract between you two should be a friendly one that communication should flow btw you guys nahh.
If there's good rapport, you should be able to know why he's treating you that way.
The signed agreement definitely still stands, but let's leave that aside - aren't you two in good terms?
Cos it looks like you both are doing a strict transaction that's meant to be flexible.
Abi why HP go now turn to war ground like this?
No vex, you be man or woman?

Go to Police station and see DPO. Report the case. They will invite him to come and explain. If he doesn't go, they will follow u to the man's place.
There is no case here, just print out all ur payment receipts and keep for evidence.
Okay,
Thanks for your suggestion.

What's his reason for seizing the key from u?

You really don't need to have any cordial relationship with your Partner. Just adhere to d terms of the contract. It's business first.

I'm a full fledged man, don't mind my nairaland username.

The thing is initially from the onset of the deal, the man has a Lady P.A that coordinate things for him and relate with drivers.

The man has over 20 cars on the road as I was told.

But I don't know what really happened, the Lady P.A left and stopped working with him and that's how the man started dealing with me directly.

So there's no rapport between us, the only time I message him or he messaged me is Monday for payment receipts. Nothing else.

No cordial relationship at all.

Is just receipt of payment every Monday and nothing else.

I don't report vehicle repairs or anything of such to him, because is a HP and I have to take car of all that.

I was told to bring the car for inspection and when I got there. The soldier said the man ask him to collect the car keys, no reason was given.

I called the man several times, no answer. I send him a voice note, till this minute he has not responded.

So I have not heard from him to know the reason.

Why did u give him d keys??
U dey fear soldier?
Car that u have paid half of the money.
U don't need to be reminded that u bought the car in installment payments so it is ur car as long as u have not defaulted. Next time don't drop the keys to ur car except u have committed a crime and d car is impounded.

The soldier actually tricked me. He pretended to want to run checks on the car then make video and sent to the man.

Also, it was inside barracks. I didn't want to create a scene. That's why I calm down.

It is well, I understand.
The last place a Soldier will want to misbehave is inside the barracks. They are under serious disciplinary protocols. So he would have definitely had a lot of explaining to do if u went to the right authority to find out why ur car is withheld from u.

Follow what Pearl said. Get a printed copy of all the receipts from day one. .

But I hope you didn't miss payments and there aren't other issues because, no reasonable businessman will suddenly terminate a viable business relationship.

This is very true. They don't allow abuse of office especially Military-civilian relationships.

Sorry I couldn't go through the agreement you uploaded, but if the agreement doesn't state that you must notify him before you do any major work like the engine work you did, then you have more ground to go with Pearl advise.

Nothing like that on the agreement. I have been doing repairs on the car and there's no where is stated I should inform him about any repairs.

Even himself don't want to hear about any repairs. What he wants is his money every Monday and that's what I have been doing.

And to think some people called me evil and wicked, not realizing that some owners can truly embody wickedness.

Sorry about what you’re going through, @Doris4ever. Unfortunately, some of these owners or partners can go out of their way to make sure you never get to complete your HP deal. Please follow Pearl’s advice and keep praying, God will see you through..

I will advice u use court instead of DPO , get a lawyer to file a civil suit against him and u both of explain urself to a judge , the court can enforce action more than the police

Have you factored in the wait time involved in court processes and dealings?

The partner would have even sold the said car before the court pass the judgement

You should wait and hear from the other side,if hopefully we get to see that.
From the story, this guy has done NOTHING!
But I am saying to you, no partner would withdraw car from his driver without any reason.
Recently, I learnt in a hard way never to make conclusion or even have an opinion on one sided story.

Abeg where is that guy that always posts screenshot of money he made on InDrive, I needs some information from him. Anyone else can please answer...please, I cant go through the tens and thousands of pages on this thread to find an answer to this.

I'm having issues registering my new car with Bolt, and I want to hustle with InDrive only this weekend. Please I need information on what to charge per kilometer. I know riders on InDrive post ridiculous amounts, I just need some heads up what to charge per kilometer. If they are not okay with it, then I sit my ass down. I'm not desperate. I just want to get busy this weekend.

Thanks in advance.

Please, there's no second side to this story. Assuming nairaland allows audio. I would have forwarded the voice note sent to me by the soldier to bring the car for inspection.

And he specifically told me the man just introduced inspection to be done every 2 months. Meanwhile, there's nothing of such on the agreement.

If I was on any payment default, I should have have been scared of driving the car down from mainland to Obalende for inspection. But because I know, I was not owing in anyway. That's why I drove the car there to honour the invitation which turned out to be a ploy to retrieve car.

The agreement clearly states that, if I default for 3 consecutive weeks that when the agreement can be terminated.

I have uploaded a copy of the agreement here and also the last payment receipt sent through Whatsapp on Monday.

As I write this, the man have not said anything or given any reason for seizure of the car. He just kept mute.

He don't pick calls or response to Whatsapp messages.

Find attached below.

Click on contest then at the top right hand you will see incidence, click the incidence and it will show the car that was captured.
That's straightforward.
Thanks a lot, I'd try that out. I would probably wait till I can go pay the fine then check, cos of this their 7 day period to pay!
