zero chemicals just let it ferment for 2-3 wks spread under sun but partially covered with 'banner sheet'

It's been 6 days so far:

They 've started to emerge scantily and it's been non-stop raining in the last two days now, looking forward to plenty sunshine today

Day 10: I applied compost tea yesterday at a 1:3 ratio, which I feared might be too strong, but luckily it rained a few hours later. The maize plants look fine today. Hoping for sunshine, though the sky looks cloudy. I plan to start early weekly pest treatment on day 14,

This your corn did not look healthy beside where you planted this corn have no enough sunlight and ventilation ,this time is the pick of rainy season ,corn doesn't do well when rain fall is very high
This project is more of chasing shadow or should I say fruitless adventure the spacing of the corn is too cluster

I planted maize on March 19th alongside my pregnant wife in our backyard. Interestingly, hers thrived without chemicals, growing bigger and healthier than mine! However, my crops faced insect issues, which I successfully tackled with Caterpillar Forte.

At harvest time, I was blessed to share abundantly with others and enjoyed plenty for myself, including delicious pap!

It's amazing to see God's provision and care in our little garden project.

It seems to me there's no spacing in your planting, this will cause your crops to compete too much for food from the soil which will lead to stunted growth and inevitably lead to poor harvest.
Before venturing into farming whether in small scale or large, ensure to learn basic knowledge about it so as to avoid costly mistakes.

No spacing. They make likely struggle to yield well if it's just organic

OP has not told us if he's doing this for leisure or for commerce. I don't think it's for sales.

Something sweet about farming is that you also learn from experience. You have bad seasons and good seasons and even when you do the right thing, God will use nature to talk to you. He will learn on his journey.

At OP, impressive effort to not use any chemical. I think this generation is starting to see the evil of *modernity* on our health and food. 40 years ago, cancer was foreign to us. Now, so much cancer out there, even from those who have a healthy lifestyle. Our food, our natural food is under attack. Farmers/herders clash is no coincidence. It is now so difficult to get original pure God-given food today. Our food has been compromised. The odo eshi our parents and grandparents used to have is no longer there because our food is no longer medicine. We are eating biochemicals. I never used to be interested in agriculture until I saw that oyinbo people are suffering because they don't have good natural food. They even planned to attack black people in US through their water and district planning, so why do you think they can't attack us? If you think I am lying, the internet is free, ask your GpT to tell you. The US government separated water for the blacks and the whites, blacks were given industrial water... The internet is your friend. Protect your food folks.

Maize plants need lots of water at it early stage.

Nice project. I am keenly following as I want to venture into Agriculture too. Wouldn't be bad to try maize farming 🤔
