They are playing with lives and destiny of people in this manner... what is the hope for Nigeria as a nation... institutions should do better

This reminds me of UNN College of Medicine then. Admit a multitude, then prune by failing students out till the required number at induction.

Many medical students failed out of UNN to go become best students elsewhere.

Why gatekeeping and cartelizing medical knowledge, and yet cry that we don't have enough doctors? More than 5,000 lawyers were called to the bar yesterday. Do you hear lawyers crying about brain drain?

The students should take the MDCN and the University to court.
The court knows their antics and how to deal with them.

Almost every court case these unscrupulous overfed doctors are involved in, have been lost by them.

Everyday you cry about not having enough doctors but you are one refusing to admit and graduate enough doctors? What are you afraid of really?

Imagine One oga with over two to three hundred apprentices, how will all of them learn effectively and efficiently?

They did not ask them to go home because they failed exams or their intellect is being questioned, but because there is a pre-determined quota in other to gate-keep the number of people entering the profession, and not the quality of students.

I don't even have a problem with that. The issue is- why still cry on TV and in the media by shouting 'Oh...we don't have enough doctors, ratio of doctor-patient is poor' our doctors are leaving...bla..bla..bla'

Is it not hypocritical? Do you really want Nigeria to have enough Doctors like Cuba? I doubt it.

You asked why this quota is in place and I provided answer.

If you are within the system, you will understand why this quota is valid. Nigerian schools are ran by greedy set of humans that if the quota isn’t there checkmate them, they will abuse it to the letter.

You want MDCN to churn out large numbers of both fully-baked and half-baked doctors and when they start killing people, where will you point your fingers?

It’s not like majority will stay in the country at the end of the training.
