What do you expect when idiots are at the helm of affairs in Nigeria? Everything has gone wrong in Nigeria. from bad parenting, parents encouraging their children to steal, same parents defending and justifying their children's bad behaviour when a teacher disciplines them. The one who shouts the loudest claims foolish rights.

The rules and regulations guiding the school in those days are different from now. The government don't care. All they think of is the next election year. JAMB is the worst; they only care about their money.

Parents of this generation have failed and they are preventing the schools from training the monsters they have as kids now this is the result. Shame and reproach to the family. King Solomon said a child you fail to train will bring shame on you. This one has clearly ruined himself and stained the image of his family if they have any.

A stubborn 14 years old Gen Z boy that has become a menace to his parents was reported to me, I took him into the Police cell where some hardened criminals were detained in the Police cell with instructions that he should be dealt with without any injury or serious harm.
They gave him some dirty controlled slaps with their menacing looks as welcome salute, they told him that he wants to useless his life like some of them and whether he thinks they are happy with themselves to end up in detention?
He cried and cried in the cell, to worsen his condition they told him that they will "chook" stick into his anus at night and he must co-operate with him or else they will bust his Blokos.

By evening when his Mum came to bring food for him in the cell she couldn't believe what she saw, both him and his mum were weeping profusely and he swore that if he doesn't sleep in that cell till the next day he will repent and become an obedient child.
I asked them to release him, since then this boy doesn't even go out and he was told to report to the station every Saturday morning to inform that he has not gone back to his bad ways.

He learnt more from his brief interaction with criminals in the cell than all the advice he has been getting and even the criminals were intentionally ready to help save a soul from becoming like them

I spent 3 weeks in NYSC Orientation Camp. E come be like say I dey prison... until 2 or 3 days to leave camp when you get relieved of rules & enforced activities.

When a student decides to fight you, back off

Because he will and you are the one that has a lot to lose


Just send them home to their parents and take disciplinary actions that doesn't involve altercation

As a corper, I was posted to a certain secondary school in isiokolo ethiope east LGA Delta state where I thought chemistry to ss1 students. The majority of the students were dull and unruly. One day I hit one girl on the head and sent her outside.

While I was continuing with the class, I think I overheard her say something about "killing a corper".. Omo..my mind cut!!!! I just manage to compose and finish the class.

From that day I vowed never to touch any student ever again, or even to correct them.

These days, Teachers need to understand that these Genz era, wisdom is profitable to direct. Never get into a fist fight or heated argument with your student. As much as possible avoid it to the core. Even even you ask a student to kneel and he or she refuses, don't allow anger or emotions control your next action. Apply wisdom as much as possible. RIP sir.
