FG Blames Technical Glitches For Non-payment Of Workers’ June Salaries by iwaeda(op): 12:33am On Jul 12, 2025
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation on Friday attributed the non-payment of some federal civil servants’ June 2025 salaries to technical glitches.

In a statement, the OAGF spokesman, Bawa Mokwa, said that upon complaints from workers regarding the non-receipt of their June salary, an investigation was launched into the issue, and it was discovered that there were some glitches, especially for workers using Zenith Bank as their salary accounts.

The office assured that it is working closely with the relevant service providers and stakeholders to resolve the matter.

“Upon investigation, it was discovered that the salary payments for employees across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs, were affected due to a technical network glitch during the processing of salaries at the bank,” the statement read.

“The OAGF understands the anxiety and frustration this situation has caused, particularly given the importance of timely salary payments to the livelihoods and responsibilities of our valued public servants.

“We deeply regret the inconvenience this unfortunate incident has caused and wish to assure all affected employees that immediate steps have been taken to resolve the issue.

“The office is currently working closely with the relevant service providers and stakeholders to ensure that the failed payments are reprocessed without further delay. We appeal to all affected staff of the Federal Public Service to remain calm and rest assured that no effort will be spared in ensuring everyone receives their rightful salaries.”

He stated that concrete steps have already been taken to isolate the problem, and arrangements are underway to reprocess the failed payments in the shortest possible time. The welfare of federal government employees remains a top priority of the office.

According to Mokwa, the OAGF remains fully committed to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in all payroll operations and is open to continuous engagement with stakeholders to ensure sustained improvements in our service delivery,” the statement reads.

CLARIFICATION ON FAILED JUNE 2025 SALARY PAYMENTS FOR SOME EMPLOYEES

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) wishes to inform the general public, particularly Federal Government employees, that it is aware of the recent complaints regarding the non-receipt of June 2025 salaries by some personnel especially those whose accounts are domiciled with Zenith Bank Plc.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the salary payments for employees across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) were affected due to a technical network glitch during the processing of salaries at the bank.

The OAGF understands the anxiety and frustration this situation has caused, particularly given the importance of timely salary payments to the livelihoods and responsibilities of our valued public servants.

We deeply regret the inconvenience this unfortunate incident has caused and wishes to assure all affected employees that immediate steps have been taken to resolve the issue.

Re: FG Blames Technical Glitches For Non-payment Of Workers’ June Salaries by Racoon(m):
Since they used it to successfully rigged the 2023 presidential election, technical glitches have led to JAMB inefficiency, now payment of the monthly salary of the suffering hardworking Nigerian civil servants

Even the non-functional state of the PH refinery has been ascribed to technical glitches of malfunctioning technology just to cover their $1.5B TAM corruption. Fear who no fear APC.
Although the Port Harcourt refinery resumed operations briefly in November 2023, it was shut down again in May for maintenance. Ojulari attributed some of the setbacks to outdated infrastructure and underperforming technologies.

Take it or leave it.

30 years now, very little has changed!

Modified :

Don't be surprise that this delay might emanaye from either insufficient funds or the President's continued absence.

Indeed? These people are playing us for a ride. I wonder the difference between regime of subsidy to that of subsidy removal. Tinubu will surely go down as the worst president in the history of this country. He has nothing to offer. They just want to loot and pass on the Barton to the next person.
