"even with the picture shown has anyone come to identify" - from your own mouth grin

If you go missing, your family will reach out to the police and if news like this comes out they will reach out to them for identification. Identification is not officially done with pictures.

Kalulu44:
And what if nobody knows his or her whereabout, isn't that picture the surest way to know.
The Abuja lady that is still in the hospital who was brought in unconscious, even with the picture shown has anyone come to identify her not to talk of if they didn't post her picture at all.

The Police know what to do, but for reasons best known to them, they have refused to move against these one chance people, and I will tell you all now that it is because no "BIG PERSON" uses one chance, that is why this thing is allowed to continue.

Leave those ones, I don't understand why our people love watering down issues with irrelevant points.
This is an unacceptable situation and we can do better but we do have crime in London, Manchester, Chicago, New York, Dallas, Paris etc. Crime is what criminals do, and it's always an ongoing battle.

nairalanda1:
Yes o, tinubu should do better, but this problem has been here for over 15 years.

Even under GEJ, there was one chance, live.

But the hospital is still crying out for who knows her or her family. See everyone with his or her believe. To me I don't see anything wrong with posting a dead or unconscious person picture.

What's wrong with posting pictures of dead bodies, how would she have been identified.
Are you seriously asking this question ?

Yes, we can always agree to disagree on this one.

cheesy

You guys should stop believing we have enough money. We do not. And as for tax, less than 30% of Nigerians pay tax.

That's a big part of why we don't see anything good from any government.

20% of the budget comes from tax. It's even less.

I did not say there is no corruption or stealing. There is, and that makes our bad condtion worse.

But anyone who beleives that most of what government uses comes from tax... cheesy. Most of our revenue comes from LOANS. Even the oil money, it would be enough if we were 10 million people or less. Not the 230 million we are.
you are wrong saying less than 30% pay tax in Nigeria...Do you know there are different forms of tax...some you can't even bypass. There is nobody in this country that is not paying tax directly or indirectly. So long you are consuming one thing or the other, you pay tax. For the government to demand for more tax, they should justify what they are doing or have done with all taxes people have been paying. There is no money in the country whereas they are living lavishly and spending money on white elephant projects. Na only mumu or government agent dey side with this government,so which one are you?

True that, but the main issue is, Abuja does not have a good enough transport system.

If they had maintained what el rufai did, and improved on it, and even added an intra-city rail system (like what Lagos is trying to do) it would have reduced incidence of this nonsense.

BUt even then, in UK , a woman entered a proper taxi, and was murdered by the same taxi driver. We can hope to reduce, not to eradicate. But reduction good.

1.Hahahaha...I wish I was wrong, but I have proof.

2. Tax in this case means to state and federal government. Not the private taxes that people pay that go to union, or to private pockets...tax that goes to the people who WILL do the actual infrastructure and so forth.

3. The information is available online.

4. You can refuse to believe me, and note that I did not say there is no corruption or that their lavish living is right.

That Alex Ekueme way Jabi is a high risk road in that area, I remember when I was working in Jabi lake and my encounter even as a man with one chance robbers/dead bodies dumping on the road it really scared me and made me to resign because I don't know if next I'll be the victim.

This is cruel and terrible.

Just as one entrepreneur influencer on Facebook mocked those who say "let Nigeria not happen to you", even though crimes happen in the abroad. The difference is that the culprit in the abroad would be arrested, charged and penalised. This is not the first one chance incident in Abuja and the elites are okay with it.

The kind of demonic evil most Nigerians, especially the so-called educated ones, have puzzles me.
An average Nigerian thinks only of himself rather than the common good.

We just hate to have our little successes in life tampered with by protests and civil unrest.

That's why many of us would rather watch the nation decline at the hands of useless and corrupt leaders than speak up against such... As long as we are comfortable amidst the decline, no wahala.

Not sure why Nigeria government is so useless with security. They can't even come out to talk about the insecurity in Nigeria states. Everyone just looks the other way - why ??

The rate at which people are getting killed in Nigeria calls for concern.

This isn't even about insecurity anymore, it's about the lack of humanity among Nigerians. How you can kill someone so easily without any fear or pity is what I don't understand.

May God save Nigeria from this wickedness and evil.
Honestly it is alarming. They want to make blood money and whatever goes around comes around.

The truth is, we don't pay tax enough in this country. It is because of the poverty level of this country that governments past and present have been raising money from the resources we sell and loans, not from taxation as they do in saner climes.

If government was raising money from taxes aggressively, all of us , including street hawkers , would be paying as high as 40-50% of our income, and if you cheat on your taxes, you go go jail.

That's how they do in saner climes, and why many of the very rich oversease in saner climes hide their money in offshore accounts. The Pandora papers exposed many of them (it was not just about Nigeria, it was worldwide.).

But 70% of us work in the informal sector. State and fg can't effectively tax them for many reasons. That;s why most of the tax comes from the formal sector...and it is not enough. (As it stands, less than 30% of my salary goes to the FG as tax via FIRS taxing my salary).

And even those who government can tax, there is a minimum level where government won't take taxes from you...and that;s most Nigerians.

That's why tax revenues in Nigeria are low, and why most of our income comes from oil and from LOANS. We have no choice.

They mentioned it many times not to take one chance. Wike is even building bus stations. At least take a bike but people won’t listen. You gamble with life and blame Govt. In the US, there are some areas you won’t go at night. If you do, you are on your own. Wisdom is profitable to direct, so get wisdom.
How can someone tell it is one chance ?

Now you don shift goal post.it's no longer only 30% pay taxes but we are not paying enough. What is the average earning capacity of a Nigerian compared to that of someone in UK? You see say the difference dey massive. So we are paying based on our earning capacity so before you ask for more task, what have you been doing with the ones we have been paying. A government that cannot give good account of what they are using tax for should not demand for more taxes.there is no justification at all.

See what they did to someone's daughter. The perpetrators of this act will surely get their comeuppance.

Nigeria has become a huge crime scene ever known to man.

One would have expected the nation's capital to be very secured.

I've lived in tiny countries that would have solved this crime and get the culprits in less than 48 hours. Streets are monitored real time with heavy CCTV coverage.
Beyond CCTV, everyone in the country has their fingerprints in the system. With the forensic evidence that might have been left on her body, they would be tracked.

Some Nigerian armed robbers robbed an exchange an within 46 hours, they were tracked and arrested. Solving crimes isn't rocket science. Elon Musk is even conquering rocket science already.

You don’t even know the evil she committed that warranted such revenge on her. You are here shouting innocent lady my foot.

Ladies of today are heartless and as such should be made to reap the evil seeds they sowed.

These killings are not random, the victims are meticulously targeted as a revenge to what they did.

I don’t have a single pity for them.
